What are the chances of Api, Williame or Parata getting look-ins at 1st grade? I have yet to see any of them play

I have some work at Kuraba Point to finish and then I will head out to North Sydney Oval to cover the game today.

Welcome to a glorious day at North Sydney Oval, perfect weather for Sunday afternoon footy.

The Wentworthville Magpies, coming off back-to-back losses are taking on a strong North Sydney Bears outfit who have only lost one game thus far in 2013.

The Magpies are wearing the blue and gold away strip today.

Both teams have begun their warmups, I will keep you posted if I hear of any late changes

Looks like there could be a few changes.

I have caught sight of #19, #20, #21 and #23 jerseys in the warm up.

I'm think it is Ben Fritz in the #19. Semi and Blair are in the #2 and #5 so it looks like at least one centre is out. Blair will probably shift one in.

Still trying to figure out the other changes.

I can see Harrison, POH, Mullaney, Smith, Parata, Tautai, Ma'afu, Terepo, Eisenhuth. Edit: Just saw Pewairanghi in the #4.

Edwards is running with all his kit, except he is wearing a Magpie shirt instead of a jersey so I'm not sure on his status.

Solid opening set to start the game by the Bears. A bomb is put up on the halfway line which is fielding safely by Fritz.

Nathan Smith finds the grass 20m out from the Bear's line after a solid reply from Wenty. The Bears are working it out strongly up the middle before testing the right edge defence of the Magpies. Wenty prove to be up to the early test and force the Bears into touch.

Wenty scrum 20m out from their line.

Parata nearly catches the Bears napping around the ruck, causing a half break. Off the play the ball, the Magpies spread the ball on their right but a cut out pass goes astray and the Bears end up in possession.

After working it out from the red zone, the Bears earn a ruck penalty late in the count. The kick for touch finds the line 10m into the Wenty half.

The Bears will trouble the scorers first today as the profit off a strong run from Tom Burgess, the next play the are able to attack the right edge of the Magpies before turning it inside to Burgess once more to score a simply try under the crossbar.

Conversion is successful.

Bears lead 6-0

Tom Burgess makes a strong run off the kickoff but loses the ball in contact. Wenty are given a golden opportunity to strike back but spill the ball late in the count.

The Bears to play it 10m out from their line.

The Bears finish their set on the halfway line before hoisting up a bomb towards the wing of Radradra. He takes it comfortably as there is no pressure from the Bears and Wenty now have a good chance to make inroads.

Sure enough, an incisive run from Pewairanghi down Bear's right edge puts him into the clear before he pops a simple pass to Wiliame in support who strolls over and plants the ball 7m to the left of the uprights.

Conversion is successful by Mullaney.

The game is all locked up at 6 all.

Edit derp.

Bears run it on the last from the halfway line and look to have scored but it is called back.
