ok.. i can't believe no-one has got this even remotely close to correct yet.
they are called floaters... and they are inside your eyeballs. eye drops have no effect. not everyone gets them... but most people do (as is probably explained in the wiki entry i linked to). if you have a lot of them... or notice a lot of them arriving in a short space of time... i would have them looked at by an optometrist - post haste... as it is one of the warning signs of retinal detachment (yes.. that's bad and will blind you).
