Old Farts Memories & Discussions

I see comment on Red Roosters buying Big Rooster. I can confirm Big Rooster still exists in the Toowoomba area and people rave about it.

In other news I came in to check if I am old enough for membership of this thread, sadly it seems not as I just want to talk about the 80s and 90s.
What? That's crazy man. Most blokes on here cut their teeth bopping away in the 80's-90's.
Anyway it's a memories thread and as with music, if your memories were the earlier 2000's then it's hats off to you, ya kids are probably calling you an old fart blockers. :)
I'm in my late sixties and still chill out listening to The Cure, Blur, HCP's, Leichhardt Oval etc etc.

Harrys Cafe De Wheels, the original one is at Woolloomooloo but lots of franchises popping up around Sydney now, have one down the road from where i live at Tempe. Usually get a hot dog with mushy peas and cheese sauce and tomato sauce when i go. Was at the Woolloomooloo one about a month ago and they had chicken hot dogs, quite nice with the mushy peas.

and of course this is my favourite photo on the wall there when i visit the Woolloomooloo shop.

A franchise now. Wow!
I remember pulling into the first one at Woolloomooloo when I just got my licence. I was so peeved off when I spilt the pie all over the mattress in the back of my HT panel van. It must have looked suss the next day. I wonder if mum saw it :)

My music tastes range from the 60 s all the way till now but the 60 s and especially the 70 s and 80 s are the most revalant to me. If i go to a retro dance party or theme night i want to hear music especially from 1975- 1984, so many danceable songs and memories. Most retro nights now even though they play 70 s and 80 s concentrate on the 90 s and 2000's which i suppose you can say is retro now to.
