I'm glad Huddersfield and Castleford never merged.

The funnything is, many Huddersfield supporters still refer to their club as Fartown, or themselves as Fartowners, strange!

Watersiders? A Sydney based side!

Balmain I think is the answer but I thought it was Bay-Siders. Any way, it was some poxy turn of the Centry type name.

I was referring to a possible merged entity called the Fartblowers.

Balmain or Manly were the Watersiders.
If Balmain are the Baysiders, then I'll go for Manly.

No I changed my mind. I think the Watersiders have to be Balmain.
Now i don't know who the baysiders were.
Were'nt they some bloody awful pommie pop group in tartan gear?

Manly were the Seagulls.

The Gold Coast played as Giants, Seagulls and Chargers and I've heard that they were known as the Vallients during an offseason and toyed with the name "Vikings"

Heres an easy few:

The Students
The Bluebags
Cee bees
Reds.

OK.
How about this lot:

The Gladiators
The Dales
The Students
The Dirty Reds

We're duplicating Saint.
The Students: No prize for guessing.
The Bluebags: TDT-1

Cee bees; Canterbury?
Reds. Perth

The Western Reds were the Perth based side, but I recall Glebe may have had this name at one stage. The Cee Bees were Canterbury.

Perth with all their short history actually became known as the Reds for a bit.

Some more from the 'how soon we forget' box:

The Mariners
The Rams
The Giants

A couple of oldies:
The Tri-colours
The Black & Golds

Getting easy now.

Newcastle were known as the Knights in 1908-1910. Their colours were Red & White

Thats right Gav. Glebe were known as the Dirty Reds. I should imagine that this was sometimes shortened to the Reds.

Tricolours - Easts
Black and Golds - Balmain?

Ok, which famous UK club were known as the Riversiders?
