he was 24, but mark coyne's older brother, peter, was late 20's when debuting for st george after a long brl career for valleys

Nah when he debuted he had no hair! Youtube the clip of Scotty Minto getting the try when goes the ridiculous 78 metre high jump and Parker (who was a biggest loser candidate) throws the pass, he was a body double for Mark O'Meley.

AFAIK there's no age limit, just a limit on first grade appearances prior to the rookie year.

i think there was a knights player who they picked up from the bush at age 27. plus there was also hutch maiva debuted at the dogs at 28, then a couple of years at the sharks

28 for balmain, bubba kennedy was still playing in group 10 only about two years ago which would put him close to the 40 mark
