I remember being on the 1990 RLW supporters tour to the UK, and at one of the club games, the B side aussies were playing. I forget which club it was but the Roos were giving the Poms a touch up.

A pom tackled a young Brandy Alexander and wouldn't release his grip on Brandy's legs, so the young halfback lashes out with his feet in an attempt to get the Pom to let go.

Well unfortunately the Pom did let go just as Alexander thrashed and the Pom caught two addidas's to the cranium.

Didn't the poms in the stand go orffff. A few of us aussies started going off too. When one of the poms asked us why we were going off about sending Alexander off, we just told the startled Pom that he should get sent off because his offence was that he didnt kick the Pommy bastard hard enough.

The Karmichael got up.

Had those Poms confused that did.

Gallen charged. Grade 1 Striking. 1 week with an early guilty.

Dugan not charged for his uglier, more dangerous action.

Dont agree. Thought Gall's was far worse. TBH, amazes me that something so dangerous carries only a one week penalty.

How Dave Taylor got 5 matches and Gall one baffles me!

Not saying that Dugan had more intent, but it was more dangerous and looked uglier. 2 inches the other way and the full force of his studs goes into Hilder's eye.

The judiciary usually seem to base their penalty on the injury sustained by the player, not this time it appears.

Can see him getting off. He didn't connect with the head and can use the defense he was kicking to get out of the arms of the tackler.

Agree to disagree. To me it looked as though Dugan was attempting to avoid contact and accidentally came close. Could be wrong, I dont know much about Dugan. Has he any previous like Gall?

Swap the players with the incidents. Who do you think gets charged?
