Was there for it mate, unlike more than likely Slappy was. Devo had about three hits EVER from actual songs and many more hits from looking like geeks with red flower pots on their heads. ;-)

DEVO had a string of hits, were commercially successful and VERY influential.
How you could mistake that for 'one hit wonder' status is quite astounding.

Springfield had 1/2 a dozen songs hit the top 40 here in the 1970's and 1980's.

Speak to the Sky, Hooky Jo and Don't talk to strangers being a few of them.

About the same in the US.

But everyone remembers him for that one song.
