If it were me I'd be taking Lattimore. Frank Gore would have a year, two at most before he's gone and Lattimore will be the guy to fill the void

To me, i think you can get Lattimore the next round, too early to take a stash player, and you need immediate contributors. In that list I take Aaron Dobson, he's definitely going to be starting in NE. He's got good speed and good hands and seems to get seperation. Brady will give him balls right between the numbers.
Amendola cant keep healthy, he'll miss time for sure and Dobson is going to get every chance to be a really really good player with Tom Brady throwing him the ball.

I'd strongly consider Eifert aswell. If you want to go RB, i take Franklin over Lattimore anyways. Christine Michael is a handcuff only, Lynch has 3-4 years still at his peak. By then who knows what SEA are doing at RB, might have cut both these guys by then

1. Dobson
2. Eifert/Franklin is how i take them

No way Lattimore lasts till the next round, hell I don't think he'll be available for my pick.

To give you an example, this is how the first round of a similar rookie draft went in a non-PPR league I'm in:

1.01 Bernard, Giovani CIN RBMon Jul 8 8:08:32 a.m. ET 2013
1.02 Austin, Tavon STL WRMon Jul 8 8:08:44 a.m. ET 2013

1.05 Hopkins, DeAndre HOU WRTue Jul 9 6:46:34 p.m. ET 2013
1.06 Patterson, Cordarrelle MIN WRTue Jul 9 10:05:29 p.m. ET 2013
1.07 Lacy, Eddie GBP RBTue Jul 9 10:05:46 p.m. ET 2013
1.08 Lattimore, Marcus SFO RBTue Jul 9 11:41:06 p.m. ET 2013Could be a huge steal

1.14 Franklin, Johnathan GBP RBWed Jul 10 9:27:35 p.m. ET 2013
1.15 Michael, Christine SEA RBWed Jul 10 9:36:23 p.m. ET 2013
1.16 Williams, Terrance DAL WRWed Jul 10 11:10:53 p.m. ET 2013

I do like Dobson, but don't you think he's got limited upside on my team given I already own Amendola?

You think Lynch will last 3-4 years? Given his running style and the wear on his tyres I don't think there's any way he lasts that long, 2 years max and I'm pretty sure that's how long his contract is anyway. Plus, Lynch doesn't catch passes, Michael does so he offers immediate PPR value

Wheaton is the receiver if you want one, not Dodson. Wheaton has a clear path in Pittsburgh and it becomes even clearer if they let Sanders walk which is looking likely at the moment.

Yeah I'm starting to lean this way. How has Sanders performed in TC so far? Coaches happy with him, etc?

So what's Sanders' situation, he's signed for this season but not next year and beyond?

Dobson is getting plenty of hype and I think he's a good pick up, hell I've drafted him in a few leagues, still he's behind Amendola and Vereen for targets (and Gronk when he returns), plus it sounds like Kenbrell Thompkins is ahead of him too

Sanders is going well, he's finally healthy, but he is off contract and looking for a pay day, the Steelers cap is very tight and they have had a lot of success picking up mid round receivers, I'm sure they wouldn't mind doing that again and promoting Wheaton who has been been impressive in camp too. Brown has moved over to the X position taking over from Wallace, remains to be seen if he can perform there, Wheaton would be a perfect fit on that side if need be.

All that needs to be said about Dodson is an UDFA is playing ahead of him at the moment.

I have Dobson over Wheaton but Wheaton has all the same upsides as Dobson but with let competition but not as good a QB. So the trade off is pretty even
I recon you've got to pull the trigger on one of those.

But yeah, i think Lynch will still be seeing significant carries out of the SEA backfield when he's 30. If you really like Lattimore long term and he's there and your sure he's not going to make it back to you in round 2, go with him and hope Wheaton or Dobson fall to you in round 2.

But if im you, im aiming for Dobson or Eifert in round 1, and Wheaton or Lattimore in round 2

BTW I don't have a 2nd round pick, I have two 3rds.

I think if I wanna have a prayer of drafting a WR who can contribute fairly soon it has to be Dobson or Wheaton here. I just think I'd prefer to draft Wheaton now + Thompkins in the 3rd instead of Dobson plus a late round WR

www.myfantasyleague.com

I'm in a couple of these, we each pay $5 per year to keep the site, good fun man, real deep leagues with franchise tags, UFA, RFA, contract caps, etc.

I think Zombie Jesus was gonna start one but not enough interest

.

Always go bpa in the first round. Don't draft for need.

I'd go lattimore or michael. But that's me. You may value other players more.

I was, MFL is the best, my league on there ended up dissolving which sucks. Best place for custom fantasy leagues. Reality sports online looks like a good one now, salaries and contracts and auctions all built in to the system, looks awesome.

Yeah I am thinking that, problem is look at my roster, pretty stacked at RB and very thin at WR.

Decisions decisions...

I'm not sure Thompkins lasts to the third, that hype train is well and truly on its way.

He did in my first draft but I agree, particularly in a PPR league, he'll be gone.

Ok I think it's down to Lattimore, Michael or Wheaton.

I suppose I should just wait and see how the draft pans out, may turn out all 3 are gone lol
