Who did you go with?

Well I'm gonna take Wheaton if I make the pick, but I've been offered a trade that I'm strongly considering

I give up 1.13, Vereen (only 1 year remaining on contract @ $3k) and 3.04 for Garcon (great contract @ $5k for 4 years) and 3.08

I think Garcon is better than any WR I can draft right now but has obvious health concerns, Vereen is a loss but I'd be losing him after this season anyway so might as well get some value from him, rest are just throw ins.

What you think?

Id give it a miss. Garcon is too unreliable, see if they'll sweeten the deal. Id take a punt on the rookies

I probably lean to taking that. Garcon is healthy right now and he has taken steps to keep himself on the field. He's proven is the past he can play through pain, last season was the first he has missed significant time through injury. If he stays healthy and RGIII stays healthy, you have a borderline WR1 in a 14 team league. He's also got a nice long term contract, his position as the number 1 in Washington is pretty secure for a couple more years at least.

Exactly, I'm gonna take the deal. If Garcon stays healthy he's a borderline number 1 WR, I think there was a stat that RGIII targetted him on 30% of pass plays when he was on the field.

I've already got some young guys I've taken a punt on (Quick and Hill) and I've still got two 3rd round picks I can use on project WRs.

Garcon, Amendola and Jennings is a decent trio

He doesn't want the pick swap anymore, just wants me to chuck in Dunbar as a PS guy, I'm happy with that

Yeah I took the trade, I like Garcon's potential and while he's an injury risk, he offers way more upside than any rookie WR at that spot IMO

OK got talked into doing a team this year in a friends Fantasy Comp.

Had about 30 minutes notice to get my shit together before the live draft.

Got a crappy draft position and ended up with

QB's: NO D. Brees, SEA R. Wilson
RB's: TB D. Martin, CIN B. Green-Ellis, GB E. Lacy, PIT L. Bell, NE L. Blount
WR's: PHI D. Jackson, CAR S. Smith, SEA S. Rice, CLE G. Little
TE's: ATL T. Gonzalez, MIA D. Keller
K STL G. Zuerlein
DEF HOU Texans

Any shot you think?

Try and send Rusty Wilson to a team for WR. Your WR's look very ordinary to me.
TE's is strong, QB is strong, RB is ok, but could be great if Bell or Lacy wind up featured backs

Thanks

Yeah I took Brees in the first round and people hit the good WR's early in the second after hawking the power RB's in the first.

Malcolm Flloyd and Nate Washington are available on the wire though but was unsure

Bell was just named top of the depth chart, but he just banged his knee up again so yeah. Not serious it seems, he'll most likely be #1.

Hard to say with out knowing the leagues scoring and amount of teams.

Great QB's. Arguably the best fantasy QB in Brees and Wilson coming off one of the best seasons by a rookie QB in years.

Good RB's. Doug Martin is a top 3 fantasy RB, catches, TD's, yards, attempts, he has it all. Green-Ellis is going to lose reps to the rookie. Lacy and Bell have high end potential this year, buit its just that....potential. If one of them fire you'll have a great 1-2 punch at RB.

Decent WR's. Jackson should be good in his new system, but the system will still have either Vick or Foles throwing to him. His numbers have steadily dropped the past few years. Smith has been one of the best fantasy WR's year in year out, but the guy is pretty old now and hasnt had big TD haul for years. Rice should have a nice season, but has injury concerns. Little is good depth and will help during bye weeks.

Very Good TE's. Gonzalez although old will keep churning out good numbers. Keller in a new environment could be a great pick up as well.

If your league has 12+ teams you have a good shot with some good waiver wire work through out the season.

I entered a public league on yahoo

I checked out the prediction for how my team will go this season and it said 2 - 12 which i think is a bit harsh considering the team i have

QB- Aaron Rodgers, Kaepernick
WR - Victor Cruz, Travon Austin, Torrey Smith, Malcom Floyd, Brian Hartline
RB - LeSean McCoy, Darren McFadden, Montee Ball, The Law Firm
TE - Jermichael Finley, Brandon Myers
K -Lawrence Tynes
DEF -Green Bay

surely that team is better than 2 - 12
