when he plays straight... too often his decision making is poor (oh the irony of making him captain, mind you McCullum has same weakness) and too quickly favours cow corner as his up-the-scoring rate option

Taylor must post a century here. He was awful with the bat in Australia. He needs to step up and become the world class batsman he is capable of being.

I like that Taylor and McCullum are being patient and watchful, and just punishing the bad balls. We are on course to landing somewhere between 300-350 at stumps- not an overwhelming result, but should set us up nicely to accumulate a good total and get Zimbabwe in some time tomorrow.
