I reckon, Hird has decide that if he is thrown overboard, he intends to take the Titanic down as well.

Imagine the head honchos of a national sporting body facing criminal charges over a ElephantJuice in sport investigation. Would that sport ever recover?

If Hird allegations in this court application are true, Demetriou will face criminal charges - providing confidential information to third party/s from an ACC briefing.

Yes/No

Apparently not as the ACC has publicly revealed that they didn't tell Demetriou who the club was until "after" the Essendope press conference.

Seems just a bit of a delaying tactic by the Bummers or specifically this James Heard character

I am not sure I saw the bit from the ACC that specifically supports Vlad's statement about when he knew Essendon was the Club.

Well I assume this:

"The ACC has no information to support the assertion that any information about Project Aperio and the links between ElephantJuice in sport and organised crime was unlawfully disclosed.

"Further, the ACC does not have any information to support the assertion that representatives of the Australian Football League failed to honour their written undertakings given to the ACC in accordance with the Australian Crime Commission Act 2002, to protect the content of the confidential briefing they received," Lawler said.

According to all and sundry down here that is off the table, I don't know whether to believe that or not.

Not wise to be too smug too soon, our sht is still gathering to be flung at the fan. Does make a nice change to see the media crucifying another code for a change though!

Hopefully our sht will just be with one club not the administration of the game.

What is lol funny is the journos that were having a dig at Smith and the NRL for not being as pro active as the AFL and Essendon in the early days. Whose laughing now?

Hmm if section 12 is true, Demetriou isn't the only one who could be facing criminal charges. McLachlan appears to have played a bigger role in all of this.

Can someone help me out? I'm not sure how to react to this one.

On the one hand we have "bad afl, bad Essendon, everyone is guilty", but on the other we have "those poor players did nothing wrong so they shouldn't be charged."

Well I assume this:

That doesn't exactly say that he didn't know until afterwards. It just says that they have no evidence that he told them during the phone call.

McLachlan shouldn't know or be in trouble as he was not at the meeting

it seems Demetriou told him

This has probably already been said but I can't be f**ked going back and checking if it has.

The 17 AFL bosses have thrown their full support behind the administration. Essendon are officially on their own.

Wasn't too obvious that it was going to happen, what with 6 or 7 teams sucking the AFLs teat, most of the Melbourne clubs hating Essendon (not as much as collingwood) and West Coast and Adelaide who couldn't give a f**k.

Feels like they're trying to build this thing up to blame everyone BUT the players.

I agree mate, been saying it for a while. The media line is the players are all innocent little lambs unwittingly lead astray. It makes me sick they're not even questioned, even when the captain admits taking something on TV and the signed consent forms back him up.

Going by ASADA's rules, what goes into an individuals body is ultimately their responsibility, is that correct?

The amount of injections that they undertook over such a long period, surely someone amongst them all would asked the question.

Bring it on. 2 comps, AFL and Super AF League
