Supposed to be a good source of testosterone. Plant based stuff. May as well throw your money in the gutter.

I'm surprised AFL fans don't blow up about the "tax" on tickets for the succesful clubs to keep the poorly run clubs afloat! Can you imagine saying to Bulldogs fans "we want you to give us $1.20 every game you attend so we can give it to Manly to keep them afloat"?

Manly doesn't need the cash. We're a basketcase plaything of millionaires.

Valid ooint, wrong club to use in comparison.

I don't actually have a problem with the NRL taking $1 from every ticket sold and banking that and using it to keep teams afloat.

Would be good to see them start saving for rainy days.

That said, I'd also like to see the NRL ensure all its clubs were well run.

And didn't see anyone whinging when Cullen was made CEO of Cronulla by the NRL. Who paid for that exactly?

But the main point is if the NRL put a 2nd unwanted/unasked team in Melb & then threw $$$$$$$ wastefully at them ,I think other struggling clubs would kick up a hell of a stink,& rightfully so .
Putting a 2nd AFL team in SYD & SEQ is stupid as the current teams have their hand out/get unfair deals to ensure success etc,so why double the amount of basket cases interstate?

Not arguing with the AFL, or their expansion, or the fact traditional Melbourne teams are withering at the expense of non heartland teams that cater to a niche.

I was just saying we should take a dollar from tickets and save 'em up.
