Hold on, don't the majority of posters on here stated the DT is not to be believed. Now the posters are using this DT article to support the viewpoint - un-bloody-believable.

When they are showing clear evidence to support their article its believable.

Different to attributing things to "unamed source" etc.

that's why ASADA are wrapping up their investigation before they can interview Dank and use other new powers

no AFL player will be sanctioned

That is called selective editing - accepting articles depending on viewpoint.

Its accepting articles based on the fact they have something other then their word to back it up. Pretty hard to argue with the leaked document.

And I am selective of which DT articles I believe.

No deal done...

Just has a key player admitting to taking a ban supplement, with ZERO action taken.

Carry on, nothing to see here.

I agree with you.

This is a set up.

Watson and Hird are AFL icons, and Essendon are part of a power block in the AFL that will not be challenged by Vlad.

The way this has played out is beyond a joke.

As for ASADA, how they allowed themselves to be sucked into this charade of an investigation beggars belief.

The NRL had better take a clear aim at ASADA over this.

I hate to think how the AFL is getting away with this.

Maybe there are a few more 'AFL Ambassadors' out there than we thought.:x

Exactly. They want to absolve the AFL under the old rules, and attack our code under the new. How very pleasant.

This is no longer the "darkest day in Australian sport". More accurately it has become the biggest cluster f**k in Australian sport.

If ASADA have actually done such a deal with the AFL then it undermines their integrity as an organisation and brings into question their entire reason for existing.

This is part I don't understand:

"ASADA agrees that a significant contributing factor in the consideration of a no fault or negligence defence will be the extent to which players knew or suspected they had used prohibited substances at the instigation of sports science staff and took utmost caution in relation to the treatments they were receiving."

To me this says that if the players asked what they were being injected with and they were told say Vitamin D, when it was infact an illegal steroid (for example), they would have a reasonable chance of escaping sanction. However I thought it was reported that the players signed a waiver which listed exactly what they were receiving. In that case, one would think they failed the use "utmost caution" and would still face sanction because they could have and should have easily checked themselves whether the product was illegal/banned.

I fully agree with this; that is, if a deal has been done.

We should all know in a few weeks (suggested AFL timeline - early to mid August); if infraction notices are issued then we know ASADA has done its job, if not; then you (me included) would need to question its integrity.

Integrity????? ASADA's integrity was well and truly demolished two days before the dakest day presser when the AFL came out and dobbed Essendon in. The whole world realised they were tipped off and the AFL were well and truly prepared. f**k some people in here are slow.
