Maybe we can take up curling.
Can't wait til they start drip feeding the 7 AFL clubs in the media.
Least the NRL have their clubs out there now.
Very sorry to the fans whose clubs have been named.
St Merge...as always...saints, not sinners
"The Crime Commission also identified that peptides and hormones are also being used in other codes as well, but most of the work was focused on the NRL and the AFL."
What I don't get, is they hauled AFL, NRL, A League and Cricket bosses in.
Told the world Australia has a massive drugs problem.
Tell everyone it's the 'darkest day' in sport. Like EVER!
Thus far, we've got a reserve grader from Norths, someone in the AFL, one confirmed AFL club (Essendon) and six confirmed NRL clubs.
If it's all so systemic, where the f*** are the soccer, cricket players? The netballers? The basketballers? The Olympic teams? Sailors, anglers? Pig-shooters?
FFS, I'm not saying these clubs have done little or a lot, but the hyperbole is unbelievable.
The cost to sports sponsors, credibility, marketability, etc will take a hit.
If it's a handful of RL and AFL players doing the wrong thing, Australian sport has suffered a massive black eye for something whilst serious, but minor. Imagine the s#it all sporties will get now when overseas?
the minister said the main focus of the investigation was the AFL and NRL http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/auckland/news/spspo/486764077-drugs-investigations-focused-on-nrl--afl
why?
why not look into all sports?
f**kwits
Sounds like the named clubs are being shafted over relatively minor stuff.
Some of them perhaps. But we have very little information on others. 2 or 3 have come out and said their issues are very minor. We don't know how accurate that is and then you have the clubs who haven't said anything at all.Sounds like the named clubs are being shafted over relatively minor stuff.
