One of my kids ate the block of chocolate I was saving for later. Dunno which one did it though. Hell, could've been my wife. But regardless, I told the kids, "I don't care who did or didn't do it. You're both going to lose your iPads for 2 months, and go to bed without dinner. Of course, if you confess, I'll reduce the loss of the iPads to a month, backdated to the last week of July, and I'll enforce the no dinner rule sometime between the main & dessert."

That'll learn 'em.

Ill give you a hint, it's the fat one...

Bigger picture - Class action by the players against Cronulla for a multitude legal reasons = one less team in Sydney and a new team in Perth.

For any legal action against the club to be successful, the player will need to prove actual loss :

- Loss of income : Would be fairly limited for most players, given the backdated 12 month deal
- Loss of reputation : How do you quantify this ? What is the typical rugby league player's reputation worth in the era of bubbling etc ?
- Absence of duty of care : Probably the strongest argument, but again what actual losses & impacts did this lead to ?
- Adverse health impacts : Extremely grey area - good luck proving that ! Isaac Gordon is probably the exception, with the alleged Warfarin use / bruising.
- Stress : Again quantify the actual losses & impacts this lead to ?

You're 100% right.

That is what judges are for! Someone like Gallen could have a very strong argument that damage to reputation will impact his future earning potential. 9/10 of these cases get settled out of court, if Sharks have funds to do that without NRL support is doubtful.

Given he claimed "absence of duty of care" is the strong argument in favour of the Sharks' players, and conflated it with loss, I'd say they are non-existent.

F*ck me. Anyone carrying on here like these players are drug cheats is a moron.

Unless they went out and sought Dank to supply them stuff after it was known what was going on, then all they are guilty of is ignorance.

Punishment is more than appropriate for stupidity. All the carry on about anything more is dickheads with an axe to grind because they don't like the players involved.

Anyone who thinks taking the plea is nothing more than a claytons admission to just make the shit go away is beyond geniused.

I will never consider any of these players drug cheats unless evidence shows they went outside the club protocol after an issue was discovered.

In my expert opinion(not) a good lawyer would have a field day proving all this after what has happened.

You seem to lack a basic understanding of the rules. Ignorance is not an excuse. And an admission is an admission.

And you seem to lack any semblance of common bloody sense.

"Ooh ooh they said they were guilty ban them for a year!!"

Do you think they would have plead guilty if ASADA said 12 months starts today???? No didn't f*cking think so.

Pull your head out of your self righteous arse.

And I'd rate ignorance lower on the indictment list than trying to pull a blokes arm out of its socket like you grubby pricks.
