This whole saga was such a joke. After all the sensationalism about it, it all results in a three game ban for pleading guilty.

Three games.

Why bother at all? What a waste of time, money and resources. I hope ASADA or whatever moron is in charge masquerading as someone who has any idea which end of a pencil to use comes out and apologises for the disruption they've caused and quickly resigns and with a big smile talks about how they look forward to bouncing their head in guys laps for change the rest of their lives.

Biggest non story ever in history.

I dont believe the players should get suspended at all, they didnt know what they were taking and when they did they stopped taking it,
It should be the club and officials that get hit and hit hard imo

It's a bit like the David Hicks case. Clearly he had done nothing wrong yet he had to plead guilty to get out of Guantanamo. These sharks are no more drug cheats than any other players, ASADA and WADA are an absolute farce. They should concentrate on sports where having peptides may actually make a difference to your performance, not a sport where you grab a ball run a few metres and get smashed by 4 blokes.

This.

Anyone that trots out the line "admitted drug cheat only gets 3 weeks" is a moron. They only signed the admission cos a ban of 3 weeks is nothing and it gets the whole process over and done with. If they fought the show cause they'd be tied up in this mess for another 2 to 3 years with ASADA falling over itself every step of the way.
This is a win for the NRL cos it gets the whole thing put to bed and everyone sits back and LOL's @ ASADA.

Another bonus of todays developments, we can stop pretending to like Gallen. Gee I hope I see him in the street one day so I can let him know exactly what I think of him.

You should so very much do that.

Really give him a piece of your mind (if you have enough to spare).

They are yeah but lets compare it to that girl who lost her gold medal in gymnastics at Sydney. She wasn't banned she just lost her medal because she did take a prohibited substance but because of coaches error. It wouldn't feel right rubbing them out forever. Now the clubs and essendon in particular should be hammered. Essendon were running medical trials on the players ffs.

"Professional" sports don't operate like that though. At the end of the day, an athlete has the final responsibility over what goes into his body.

The program may have only been operating for a short period of time, but it still happened, and a 3 week ban is laughably short.
