In the scale of sins it would seem the NRL consider systemic drug cheating by a club worse than salary cap rorting. Clear they set the fine at an amount Cronulla can cover without going broke.

Oh well, looks like you'll need to death ride another club then...

The size of the fine has more to do with making the AFL look stupid. All will be revealed but the Essendon afl team have committed far worse crimes for a longer period of time and received the same punishment as Cronulla.

Nrl punishes those that deserve it and get to one up its win rival? WIN!

As if a 600k fine is going to force any NRL club relocate.
It'll be the fine plus the potential cost of buying half a new team (once ASDA issues player bans) as well as potentially fighting off legal action from said banned players that might do it in the end.

Let's face it, time is now very limited for the Sharks of the Shire....

Love reading the delusional posts from scummers.
Tin foil hat brigade is out in force over in their world.
The garbage from their biggest forum bullshit artist is hilarious...' He knows this and that', ' having coffee with a QC'.....bahahaha
Serious head in the sand stuff....W.A Emus would be apt for a relocation

The calculated / underhanded scale of the sin committed by the Storm surely outweighs the adhoc way the sharks have appeared to take with their supplements program.

It's like comparing apples with oranges. Perhaps that's why the punishments are different, do ya think??

Punishment doesn't deter the good teams, let's hope what the Sharks did is endemic, not the undercover epidemic cap rorting that only one careless club has been diagnosed with

Seriously though - at least Melbourne had something to strip. If you're going to cheat, at least get something to show for it.

Melb won the dragons a title.
They should strip the dragons of that title*

I wonder how Bellamy escaped any sort of sanction.
He must have been aware of the salaries of the players he hired.

Hey, a * is better than a 0

I think you'd find that Rothfields hero and a man who'd tell him whatever he wanted may have had a vested interest in not exposing his pay masters too much in 2010.

There's a new sheriff in town. Sucks for you, but its great for the game.

That said, the Storms "sins" were unlikely to cause their players health problems or injury. Unless you blame Melbourne if GI has a boating accident.

Already the club has taken worst case scenario into account, meaning they will remain in the Shire.Sorry to disappoint.
