Yeah Gallen is being booed by rival fans every time he touches the ball

http://www.sportal.com.au/afl/news/...sada-investigation/10z376g2stbpe1fo25lq5zxoiq

the AFL media really digging into Essendon and their captain

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl...as-scare-tactics/story-e6frf3e3-1226662756048

The father of Essendon captain Jobe Watson has accused ASADA of using good cop-bad cop tactics to try and frighten the club's players during their ongoing anti-doping investigation.

Tim Watson, himself an Essendon great, said questions directed at Bombers players during ASADA interviews that suggested supplements they allegedly took last year could have potential health effects on their fertility or their unborn children were disturbing.

"Massively. Can you imagine if you were confronted by the discussion that particularly Mark McVeigh (was), his youngest child is 10 months old and he was confronted by that," Watson told Melbourne's SEN radio.

"Part of the questioning and the tactics applied by ASADA are also there's a little bit of good cop-bad cop, scaring players along the way.

"But it has been extraordinarily confronting for the players."

Watson, who has previously described the mix of supplements used by Essendon players as "witch doctor stuff", said he was sure coach James Hird, senior assistant Mark Thompson, football manager Danny Corcoran and club doctor Bruce Reid wouldn't have knowingly allowed any supplement to be given to players that posed such dangers.

"I have no problem accepting that and my son's involved in all of this," he said.

"I have no problem accepting that they would not have been party to that.

"What's taken place is outside what was accepted by the football club people and the football department and the club doctor.

"This is a maverick operation that took place outside what they'd agreed upon and what the players had agreed upon.

"It's important to make that distinction."

having daddy in the media to say how badly you have been treated doesnt hurt either. aww diddums.

Yeah Gallen is being booed by rival fans every time he touches the ball

Gal has never stated on national TV that he believed he took a banned drug however and played a game right after it.

And the Melbourne media rounded on the WA crowd like they were the worst people ever.

Some clowns claimed that "booing" should never occur at any time.

Would the Sydney media do that? No f**king chance.

ASADA ask Dank to explain possible infractions in relation to supplements at Essendon

Grant Baker
Herald Sun
March 13, 2014 7:24PM

SPORTS scientist Stephen Dank has been issued with a show-cause letter in relation to the supplements program at Essendon in 2012.

Dank confirmed he had been served notice by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority.

The Herald Sun understands the possible infractions Dank has been asked to explain pertain only to Essendon and not to his time at the Cronulla Sharks in 2011.

Dank said last night(THU) he would not “respond or react” to the show-cause notice.

Instead, he said he had instructed his legal team to take the fight to ASADA in court.

“We will also write to the attorney general and ask for an explanation about how this information — and information about four Cronulla players - has been leaked,” Dank said.

ASADA opted not to interview Dank as part of its investigations into Essendon and the NRL.

He has consistently maintained his innocence.

An ASADA spokesperson said: “ASADA is unable to discuss an ongoing investigation or operational matters associated with an investigation until such time as its legislation permits”.

It's nice to read they're chasing Essendon over Cronulla, about time AFL found out they aren't better than every other sport

Essendon will be spewing that Dank has only been issued a show cause notice about them and not cronulla

all of Vlads work behind the scenes to sweep it under the carpet appear to have failed

this looks like a massive problem now for the AFL.

those idiot Victorians thought they were going to get off scot free as AOD9064 was ok to take

Just because Dank has received this over the Essendon relationship, doesn't mean he won't get similar for Cronulla.

http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/st...-program-in-2012/story-fndujljl-1226854155797

"STEPHEN Dank?s moment of truth has finally arrived, with ASADA potentially preparing to issue charges against him over Essendon?s 2012 supplement program.

The sports scientist last night confirmed he?d recently received a show cause notice, an official signal of ASADA?s intent to take action against him.

The Daily Telegraph understands the potential infractions relate only to the supplement program Dank devised at Essendon two season ago. It?s believed the show cause letter makes no mention of his involvement at Cronulla in 2011, when players were allegedly subjected to an 11-week program of peptide injections, creams and tablets. Dank has denied giving any players banned substances.

t?s presumed ASADA intend to charge Dank on the basis that he was a support person at Essendon, who hired him on a full-time basis in late 2011. Dank?s status as a support person at Cronulla is less certain because the Sharks neither employed nor paid him.
The notice?s link to Essendon is likely to make the AFL club and its players extre
mely nervous.

For the length of the yearlong ASADA investigation, Bombers officials have lived in hope that the grey nature of the peptide used in 2012 ? AOD-9604 ? might see their players escape charges. The fact Dank?s show cause letter relates to Essendon carries the natural imputation that ASADA believes banned substances were used at Windy Hill.

"But the absence of any mention of Cronulla in the show cause notice does not necessarily mean Sharks players can breathe easily. The Daily Telegraph this week revealed ASADA is preparing to issue four members of the 2011 squad with show cause notices. Evidence unearthed by an independent Sharks report a year ago indicates that while Dank was key to devising the program, he had little or no role in actually treating players."

Sounds like it might be just 4 players from the sharks whilst essendon are in deep s**t.

Exactly.

I do note however that Dank is crying about "leaking", yet his close friendship with certain journo's means that he could have easily leaked this as a matter of clear self interest.

Please explain, ASADA tells Dank: sports scientist is accused of providing ElephantJuice

Chip Le Grand and Brent Read
The Australian
March 14, 2014 12:00AM

THE Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority has accused sports scientist Stephen Dank of providing human growth hormone and three banned peptides to Essendon players and officials and a banned substance to an official at another AFL club.

Dank yesterday confirmed he had received from ASADA a “show cause” notice relating to 34 alleged breaches of anti-doping laws. He denied administering at Essendon any of the substances listed by ASADA and vowed to take legal action against the anti-doping body.

Dank’s legal response is likely to include Federal Court action and a complaint to the Privacy Commissioner. The official from another AFL club named in the show-cause notice is understood to be a private patient of Dank who was receiving treatment unrelated to his work in football.

Dank’s legal advisers believe the inclusion of the official is a breach of patient privilege. They suspect ASADA of continuing to leak information about its highly sensitive investigation despite the public denial of its outgoing chief executive, Aurora Andruska.

The banned substances Dank is accused of administering at Essendon include Human Growth Hormone, Thymosin Beta-4, SARMS and Hexarelin.

ASADA’s show-cause notice does not name any Essendon players and makes no mention of the contentious peptide AOD-9604, which Dank administered at Essendon with the approval of club doctor Bruce Reid.

A total of 17 Essendon players made admissions to ASADA - of varying strength - that they had either received injections of the failed obesity drug or been administered AOD-9604 in cream form.

The ASADA notice also makes no reference to Cronulla, the NRL club at the centre of the anti-doping body’s 12-month investigation into the use of banned peptides.

Essendon president Paul Little last night refused to comment on the show-cause notice issued to Dank. Essendon spokesman Justin Rodski said the club had received no notice from ASADA.

Dank’s lawyer Greg Stanton indicated his client would not respond to ASADA’s show-cause notice, which invites Dank to make submissions to ASADA about why anti-doping charges should not be laid.

“As a notice, it’s prolix, it’s oppressive, it’s unspecific and in terms of the information it seeks, it is just nightmarish,” Stanton told The Australian.

“In the sense that they’re nominating any number of possibilities of a criminal offence or offences being committed in dealing with ElephantJuice, with these banned substances, and effectively asking for him to incriminate himself or clear himself.

“He is not compelled to answer this notice. In fact they make it clear. At this stage our response to this is not formalised in any fashion and we won’t be rushing into any traps that ASADA might be seeking to ensnare us in.”

The dramatic development in Australia’s highest profile anti-doping case will place renewed pressure on Essendon, its officials and players on the eve of a new AFL season. It also raises fresh questions about the club’s notorious 2012 supplement program.

The ASADA interim report, delivered to the AFL on August 2 last year, does not allege that any Essendon players were administered HGH, SARMS, or Hexarelin. It contains evidence that both Hexarelin and a nasal spray containing HGH were supplied to the club.

In January 2012, Essendon was supplied with 21 vials of Hexarelin by a compounding pharmacy in Toorak. Witnesses told ASADA that Dank stored the banned substance in his fridge at Windy Hill.

In February 2012, the club queried the Hexarelin order and was credited the cost of the ElephantJuice. Suspended coach James Hird, who is serving a 12-month ban, denied receiving Hexarelin injections.

Now shit is getting real, HGH. Shows that the media wasn't quite up to speed with all of this as they started to focus on the AOD and Thymosin.

“In the sense that they’re nominating any number of possibilities of a criminal offence or offences being committed in dealing with ElephantJuice, with these banned substances, and effectively asking for him to incriminate himself or clear himself.

That is some weird shit to say from his law type guy??? What do they think he was being asked for an invite to a picnic??

I didn't think Dank was a registered medical practioner. Therefore how could he have patient privilege?
