Imo DCE just started firing in the second half. That was the main strength of them over us DCE/Munster is a better combo than Cleary/Keary. Gagai killed it too. Keary did play well for us though, if I were to drop anyone it would be Cleary.

Capewell turned that game with a couple of great hits before the try. He lifted Qld. What an awesome display from a player nobody would have even thought of picking for Qld. Kudos to the selectors for picking him. NSW thought the game was won before kick off. They made heaps of errors and looked like they thought that was enough to get them the win. They will lift for the next game after this so it could be a good wake up call.

Ben Hunt played really well. I really hope they keep Hunt at hooker and McInnes at lock next season. They both look good in those positions for the Saints. That way they can play Sullivan in the halves with Norman/Clune. Those 4 on the field would make the attack so much better. I liked Cam at lock. He was like the Dragons version of Victor Radley/ Cameron Murray. Both those 2 make a huge impact to their sides and I feel Cam McInness can make the same impact from lock.

In my opinion Boyd Cordner needs to seriously think about his future. He is someone who has made it to the highest levels of the game and has nothing left to prove or accomplish. He has captained his club, his state and his country.

Boyd has suffered many head knocks and concussions and seeing him staggering from the field after a somewhat minor bump would have to be concerning for him personally, and then seeing him return to the field , in my opinion, is an extremely ugly look for the game.

Some serious questions need to be asked when a such a minor bump can leave him suffering clear symptoms of concussion. We are only scratching the surface as to the effects of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) on the brain and Boyd is a young man with a a long life ahead of him.

That life needs to be protected by the league, and players need to consider their future, because we are learning more and more that repeated head trauma can have devastating long term effects on the brain and the future quality of life for the people involved.

Ben Hunt is a good footballer looking for a coach. I hope that in Hook he has found one and dodged that bullet of destruction that so many other players at the Dragons suffered under the peanut.

Cleary is still in shock after the GF. In my opinion he should never have been selected in the first place. It should have been Walker.

Our centres did not do well last night. If anything one lesson NSW selecters should have learnt, is that they need to select specialist centres.

Too many errors, not enough attacking flair and very little punishing defence were the broader reasons we lost last night.

He's a backrower AND centre. And he's still twice the centre Gutho or Wighton is and proved as much tonight.

Hasn't played centre this year before last night. A lot of backrowers played centre in the juniors. If he was a fair dinkum centre you'd think his club coach might have used him there in the GF instead of his utility.

Hunt looked good with good coaching and a smart game plan.
Hard to tell with Cleary and Keary; they may as well as have been coached by McGregor.
Certainly looked like a McGregor team in the 2nd half, lacking direction and aimless.

It wasa typical Bennett gameplan from QLD. 1st half they just moved NSW around. I Iaughed when the commentators on fox were questioning QLD's gameplan in the 1st half after having seen him do it with us countless times.

Don't disagree re our props and that's why I didn't include them in the critique of the game but in all fairness they don't intimidate like a real enforcer which is ok providing that comes from elsewhere

To get that in the side we need someone like Nathan Brown from Parramatta as our back row is quite placid and lacks a "hard edge".

I think Freddy is an armchair coach who speaks goobly gock just like someone else we know who constantly failed to extract the best out his players.
