With a veteran squad., Cartwright has the Titans going okm for a while

Moses is such a good player, then he's such a dick
They went prelim final, semi final in 2009 and 2010, then got a spoon the year after and never really recovered. Although to be fair, they only won one finals game in those years, and that's the only one they've won in 18 seasons (!)

Poor old Patrick Herbert could have earned the second if he didn't dummy and go in the final minute against the Roosters in 2021.

That 2010 Tigers stuff up in that that defensive scrum against Easts still haunts me. What a way to end a season. Cleary had a 'see you all at training' text ready to send. He was seconds away from hitting it.

Still, the old adage, don't leave your fate in other results, mitigates it somewhat. The Titans in game one were the superior side, clear favourites going in.

I dunno where you guys are but it's dark early and cold here in the Blue Mountains. It took a while this year but it feels well and truly like footy season now.

They really miss Foran. Talented squad, but young and lacking old heads, RCG the only other vet out there. Tino is still on mid 20s and all round they just seem to lack that bit of hardness

A cruel Southerly blowing in Newcastle, footy weather, but not really Gold Coast weather. That might be part of their problem.

Knights 20-6 at halftime. It feels like they should be ahead by more, they've been that dominant...

24-20, Titans! Final.

Can anyone explain to me the logic of the rule that the receiving team from a short dropout can’t touch the ball until it goes over the 10m line ? I don’t get it

Titans eh, 0-2 for me, what a season.

Same, and here come South Sydney to make me 0-3.

But seriously, it's good to see the Titans win tonight. Newcastle aren't all that deserving of putting consecutive wins together. Also, O'Brien was our pick to be the first coach to go.

14-12, Brisbane. 24 mins left. Souths with momentum...14-all, with that Mitchell penalty...

...more Mitchell brilliance, a near 50-metre field-goal. 16-14, Souths. A minute left...and game over. Great win to Souths. Mitchell scores at the death too. 22-14, final.

Yea man, he’s getting his mojo back.

Reckon only person happier than Wayne will be Loz. Advantage Trell, Turbo to serve
if they are both in form, they're a the centres from hell, then Crichton to the wing... and hopefully To'o is fit, and Edwards (or Teddy but i don't see how Edwards is dropped), Cleary and Luai/Moses... wow, what a backline

I can't see Crichton going to the wing. Hes consistently the best centre in the comp and defensively dominates that right where teams try to attack.

1. Edwards 2. To'o 3. Turbo or Trell 4. Crichton 5. Lomax (or the guy you don't pick for 3) 6. Luai 7. Clearly. Watson as the 14 to cover
