As much as I hate to say it, Matthew Johns was right in his little tiff with Joey - QLD know how they want to play, and what players will achieve the results playing that way, whereas NSW and just throwing names around and seeing how they go. I get the feeling Fitler is being influenced by media comments waaaay too much - Hynes in the first game, 2 hookers (that he didn’t then use properly) in game 2, back to 1 hooker and then Luai out, Gutho and Best selections this time. What it definitely does show is that there was no set plan on how they were going to play, and the players that could achieve it - the lack of plan b ‘in game’ also shows this.
