I've been an Eagles fan for about the last 5 years. But I mainly follow college football and Notre Dame in particular.
College is better for me because it is on our Sunday rather than Monday and also I was really looking for a more amateur sport to follow (one of the things I love about college football is you don't have to worry about players transferring, or hearing about agents etc).
The NFL has the same plasticy feel that the NRL has in my opinion.

I've had a chance to watch the first two preseason games for the 49ers.
Not impressed with our defence so far, and our running game seems to be non-existent.
However, Jimmy G looks to be the one we have been waiting for. Quick in the pocket, accurate throws, great on third down.
Second round pick WR Dante Pettis looks pretty good too.

How's the d line looking? Buckner, Thomas and Armstead? Lots of recent first round picks invested.

Just finished watching our 3rd preseason game against the Colts.
D line looked ok, some good pressure put on the QB, but a lot of missed tackles unfortunately. Luck was able to scramble out of the pocket often and make yardage which was a worry. Must be said that Indy have a pretty woeful O line, so we may have looked better than we actually are.

The stats have Garoppolo having a pretty poor game, but it’s mostly down to his receivers dropping his passes. He was on target and had his man gaining plenty of yards, twice even scoring TDs, but the passes fell out of the hands. Biggest worry for me has been penalties. Giving too many away.

It's amazing how little the colts have invested to protect Luck.

49ers are heading in the right direction. Tough division but. Looking forward to the season.

I'm a pretty big Eagles fan, have been since 2013. Was so amped after we won the Superbowl for the eels to have a big season. What a let down.

Yeah it’s not much fun having two crappy teams to follow. You must be so thankful to have experienced a championship last season, especially against a team like the Patriots.
Been a long time for me in both sports unfortunately. I thought both the Eels and Niners were on the way up, but the Eels certainly put that theory to bed this year. Hoping the Niners give me some sort of respite from all the misery.

Can’t even enjoy the bloody cricket season anymore either.

Maybe you should start supporting the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Yeah Rams have a crazy good side. Goff became a good QB remarkably quickly last season after plodding it up in his rookie year. Will be interesting to see if it was a one-off it not.

I do hope Seattle runs last. Can’t stand those smug merkins.

Michigan @ Notre dame on Sunday morning at 9.30. First big game of the season. Perfect timing for sulking Eels fans like me.

ps: I should add, the Irish are trying for a green out and Michigan are slight favourites because they have a pretty damn strong defense including DT Rashan Gary who will go in the top 10 of the draft next season.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got paid, and then some.

The Packers and Rodgers have agreed to terms on a four-year, $134 million extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's James Jones reported, per a source informed. Rodgers also receives a record $57.5 million signing bonus and will earn more than $80 million by March, Rapoport added. The team later made the deal official.

Makes our salary cap look insignificant

2 first round picks isn't bad however. I wonder why they let him go.
Could be top 10 picks but atleast top 20. Plus his contract would of cost a heap against cap.

Word on the street is that Mark Davis did not have enough money to pay Mack his salary.

f**k this shit - I'm done.
