Thank Suity, definitely getting a bit past it :)

However, was making the point that you thought they should have said something about the other morons rather than sort out the deadbeats that cause your club a bad name

More importantly, well done Spurs, big surprise and they appear to play attractive soccer too

Did I? Is that what I thought? Umm, Ok then.
I said it wasn't reported.
Anyway, nothing short of life bans will stop this nonsense.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has issued a show cause notice to Western Sydney Wanderers following the misconduct of some of their supporters at Saturday night’s Hyundai A-League match at Etihad Stadium.
FFA has given the club until 5pm (AEDT) Wednesday afternoon to show cause why they should not face sanction for bringing the game into disrepute through the conduct of its supporters, which may include financial penalties and the loss of competition points under the FFA Code of Conduct.
The show cause notice has been sent after FFA today received detailed incident and match reports from Victoria Police, Etihad Stadium management and FFA’s security advisers, outlining incidents that took place on Saturday night.
FFA CEO David Gallop today stated his extreme disappointment in the misconduct of some fans on Saturday night, which tarnishes the reputation of football, the Western Sydney Wanderers and the fans of the other nine Hyundai A-League clubs.
“FFA has received detailed reports from all stakeholders and has asked the Western Sydney Wanderers to show cause why they should not face sanctions for the behaviour of a group of fans on Saturday night,” Gallop said.
“This behaviour has clearly alarmed many people inside and outside the game. It simply cannot be tolerated.
“It is especially disappointing that it has happened at a time when we are working collectively to implement security and banning processes to rid of our game of this type of behaviour for the benefit of football and the true football fans who are tainted by these actions. That is an unfortunate but very real consequence of this behaviour and it underlines the damage that these troublemakers cause.
“We have noted the statements made by the Western Sydney Wanderers in relation to the misconduct and the damage the behaviour is doing to the game.”
FFA will also continue to work with police and stadium security to identify individuals and ensure they are subject to the banning procedures.

What I don't get is why the fans at the ground don't tell to the dickhead next to him to calm the f**k down. Maybe the above will shock them into taking action.

Maybe.
The players love the RBB.
The RBB love the players.
The loss of competition points may well be the catalyst that pulls the RBB into line, knowing they are costing the players some of their hard earned rewards.
Something needs to happen, because the outrageous responses to this type of behavior is not good for the game.
4 people were ejected from the game.

BTW, 81 North Shore Rugby toffs ejected from the 7's just on Saturday. Assaults and drunkenness. Haven't seen Sunday's figures yet. That's alright though. Nobody let off a bunger or lit a sparkler. It was just a good old fashioned Aussie footy piss up with some bashings. Great stuff!

Yeah but were they Mediterranean_Decendants with flares? And I don't mean the ones my dad used to wear.'

Here's hoping. It might be the only bit of sense that gets through to these boneheads?

Or alternately, in the real world: Something needs to happen, because ... this type of behavior is not good for the game.

It's that simple. And forgive me for ignoring the (entirely unexpcted) deflection onto another sporting code.

I was there. Over the top response IMO. Me and my family plus the group of nuns we took all felt safe enough to stand up. We even turned around to watch the seats behind us for awhile.

But seriously suity 'outrageous responses'? The only ones who will feel outrage are the dickheads throwing fireworks in a public arena and the dickheads who congratulate them

Outrageous responses? Yes. There has been.
I'll ask this question again. Can you imagine the outrage if 81 people were ejected from an A-League game? It's ok though. It was just harmless fun at the Rugby.
4 is enough for front page headlines because a few idiot f**kwits light some flares, yet..............there were over 2000 Wanderers fans in Melbourne, and yet no reports of drunkenness or assaults or violence. Just a few flares at the game.
Surely I don't need to repeat the over 170 fans ejected from the first two days of the Boxing Day test.
But 4?

And I repeat..........

Anyway, nothing short of life bans will stop this nonsense.

I take your point about the rugby sevens and cricket Suity, but seriously, how hard is it for a fan to enjoy a game they apparently love without bringing fireworks along. It's not as if they get overcome by emotion or alcohol and discover a Roman Candle under their seat. While it's generally not a huge deal (i.e. flares) it's the pre-meditated nature of the f**kwitocracy that will continue to alienate a lot of people who enjoy the atmosphere that the active fans create, but don't want to associate with men who refuse to grow up.

Comparing numbers of people ejected is ridiculous. I have been to events where decapitating someone would probably be the only thing that would get you ejected. I have also been to events where a sneaky "one cheek sneak" whilst sitting down would probably see you marched outside.

7's rugby is a good comparison for soccer. A boring wankfest that will get fans doing stupid shit to entertain themselves.

No flares at the footy though.

So soccer still has that going for it. Flare me up bro'.

They're not men Baz, even though they appear to be.
They are kids in a mans body.
I said......life bans. Nothing short of that.
You are right though. Flares aren't a big deal. But the flares do alienate some fans.
What they do alienate even more though, is the media, to protect local interest's. To protect the local games. Not the Mediterranean_Descendant game. Never been flares at the NRL, eh Baz?

Ok, so, you take my point about the cricket and rugby, yet that is ok? 20 times more ejections and arrests for anti-social behavior?
Why do Australians still think this is ok, but when the Mediterranean_Decendants let off a few sparklers and bungers, the world is imploding? Haha.
25000 people at the game in Melbourne on Saturday night.
At half time, anyone from the RBB could go to the toilet, or the bar, or outside for a smoke. Anyone from the Melbourne active could do the same.
Everyone from both the Wanderers and Victory were mingling together at these three places and along all the concourses.
Yet there was no trouble. No fights. No arrests. No ejections.

81 at the rugby though, and 170 at the cricket?
4 at the football.
Is this country Anti-Mediterranean_Descendant much?

Did you even see the crowd mix at the rugby? Or are you just banging on from some newspaper or online article?

Dickheads are dickheads. That's all there is to it.
