There's a few kids living on my street and the only ones you see playing outside are the ethnics, and even that's under parental supervision.

The only place the majority of kids really get out and involved now is at school. That is one of the reasons I advocate for Rugby League throwing a lot more at trying to get school football where it should be rather than focusing on local club type grass roots initiatives.

These kids are all healthy looking and all play sport. They just don't play unsupervised in the street.

Oh maybe a joint effort between schools and local clubs.

So the Matilda's finish 4th at the world but drop to 11th in the rankings..

Colour me stupid but with a world cup shouldn't that reset the rankings to what you placed at the world cup? Spain won it and are number 2 England finished second and are 5th...

Yeah, I couldn't work out how a team that comes 4th drops from 10th to 11th as a result.

From what I understand Japan jumped from below us into the top ten above us - despite only making it to the quarter finals/top 8?

We beat Canada (7).
The penalty shootout win vs France (ranked 5) counts as a draw as that was the score at full time.
We lost to Sweden (3) and England (4).

Rankings before the World Cup

Rankings after the World Cup.

Did they build a statue for the Women's world cup winning cricket side ?

not really a fair comparison

how many teams played in the cricket women's cricket WC ? 10 or 12 ?

now, how many teams play the world game ? is a great achievement just to make the WWC let alone qualify for the last 4

I’m guessing it was because Nigeria beat us ? Getting beat by a minnow prolly costs you big time.
