I assume he is talking about the people in general and not just sports
Yeah I thought he was too.

But it's interesting that every sporting team based on the Gold Coast has been an utter failure.

I can't find one

Gold Coast Seagulls,Chargers, Giants between 1988-1998 - Rubbish
Titans since 2007 - Piss poor
Gold Coast United in the A-league lasted 4 seasons.
Gold Coast Suns in the AFL haven't played a final in there 15 year existence.

Another inept performance with the ball. I love Souttar but we pass the ball back to him then the passing around the backs is so slow and there’s zero movement off the ball. I don’t which one is the cause and which the effect but it’s clearly why we don’t make any chances other than off long balls and also why we make opposition forwards look like defensive masters. It’s embarrassing to watch

And what's with our finishing?

We have been so poor at finishing for decades now...

Half a chance in front of goal, and we will likely fluff it.

Our shots from 35 yards out look like pop-gun shots.

Meanwhile, world-class talents shoot from beyond the arc, and it's a bloody rocket.

Phenomenal goal.

Though I think our Goal Of The Century now belongs to Tim Cahill, with his cracker against The Netherlands.

As a Australian, I'm never confident when we make a break - we always look nervous in front of goal.

European, and South American, players have that arrogance/killer instinct about them - one-on-one with the keeper, a d they back themselves, every time.

Exhibit A: RBB WSW "fans" turning their backs on the team.

Exhibit B: RBB WSW "fans" walking out on the team.

Ficklest bunch of self-absorbed "fans" I've read about. Give a bad name to the average WSW punter who just wants to support their team trying to do well.

A photo of my seats at Craven Cottage yesterday.

A great day that got deflated by West Ham scoring an equaliser in the last 45 seconds to draw 1-all.

It felt like watching Parramatta lose a game at the death. I thought i was due some good luck on the sporting front.

Ironically there were a lot of Aussies around us who live in london said they enjoy coming to Craven Cottage 2 or 3 times as it's a great stadium and atmosphere.

The renovations are nearly complete just a few finishing touches on the top of the riverside stand to be completed by end of season.

The riverside walkway is now opened and they allow you to enjoy a beer or two out the back on the walkway by River Thames post game with TV screens on for the 5pm game.
