Well the Registrar of NSW racing board sent the papers today for the little filly, who is now a yearling and will be ready to run this time next year.

I listed the names in order from the most popular here to the last, and Pet sounds and Aqeous must have already been taken, but nevermind because the name she has been lumped with has a super ring to it, is a good name considering her mother and fathers names, and has a Sharkie ring to it aswell, it is one word which I like and sounds like a group winning name for the Hawkes stable !

SPLASHES

I look forward to letting you all know how she comes along and when she is going to race. Thanks everyone for your interest and assistance.

Great name mate!

I was a fan of that one as you know. Any chance of you letting Hawkes train it?

If Hawkesy will have her of course he can train her mate !

Fact of the matter is, she is the first foal out of my mare, I sent her to a reasonably un-fashionable Stallion first time in order to see if she was a good breeder and a good mother, she has turned out to be both and thrown this very correct filly. The filly won't have any chance of getting accepted into a big sale with Youthful legs as her sire and she is a bit on the small side being the first foal. So I will probably train her up as a mid to late 2 year old, maybe even wait til she's 3 and give her a run or two. If Hawkes will have her I'll send her there but she will probably be a country/provincial prospect unless she shows something fantastic in her trials.

I'm just wanting her to be a good sound filly that can gallop and win a prov/country race, the reason being, the mare is blue blooded and commanded a fair price when Gai bought her at the inglis sales, if i can prove that she can throw a decent filly in her first foal that could run, then I have bred her to more fashionable sires so her next foals will go to the sales ring I hope.
