it doesn’t change the point.

Trump favours some groups in the world capitalist regime over others.

I think Trump has said he’s going to pressure NATO to take a less belligerent approach and accept a Russian land grab of some sort.

That is antithetical to the usual flag waving of the west, which has been restrained.

And which important left wing figures have said can be attributed to US military chiefs, who have been understandably reluctant to give the nod to escalate the war beyond “manageability.”

It would be of interest to know where Russia draws the line. They were pretty angry about the supply of rockets that could hit them in the heartland.

The problem with Putin is that he’s not so easily read.
Bruh, he’s a cuckold.

Yep, I'm fifth generation Aussie. He was just trying to play some lame little Gotcha game.

Trump will probably take the election but Americans are still a very difficult lot to govern.

Interesting watching the PRC stall a bit economically. If it gets too bad, ye olde invasion and fervent nationalism is a good short term distraction.

(Just a slither of contemporary art to brighten up the thread.)

Less than two weeks until the world will be "basking" in whatever the result of the US election turns out to be.

It's a bit of a lose-lose to me.... If Trump wins, then people (in the US and elsewhere) kind of lose, imo. And if Trump loses, then we're all aware of what happened in the US last time he didn't get the results he thought he was owed, so I hold similar fears.

He’s going to win it, but all will be well.

From our POV, last time Morrison was coerced into ruining our export relationship with Chyna. Only now, last week, was it finally restored to where it was pre-Trump. Now all our grains, minerals, agriculture and aquaculture exports have been reinstated.

I don’t know what Trump and AUKUS means but I don’t really give a f**k about his subs all that much. The french subs were cheaper anyway.

I am sitting here having breakfast watching the Today Show.

And all you see on the news is 2 presidential candidates launch personal insults to each other.

It's deadset embarrassing.

Have you ever seen a respectful US election in your lifetime?

That's pretty much how election campaigns are done these days.
It's no longer "Vote for me" its more "Don't vote for them".

Usually between two horrible candidates. I saw a bit of one of the debates from when Obama was running against John McCain the other day. Two respectable people discussing the issues and how they will work to fix them. No insullts thrown at the other. If only it was always like that.

A lot less entertaining though.
