Alan Joyce is the person everyone should be calling for to be hung, drawn and quartered.

The little Irish weasel might have made a profit for Qantas which was probably his job in the end.

But he destroyed the Qantas reputation in the process and left for his successors to clean up the mess.

Anyone that has dealt with the customer service for Qantas for the past 5 or 6 years would know its an absolute basket-case in there for an global business when it comes to dealing with customers.

Its beyond disgraceful the amount of times i and others have wasted on the phone previously trying to sort out issues with credits/flights and other issues.

I'll say this about every CEO or head of state country whatever..

They only care about making themselves look good and getting as much money in the short term they are in power before handing the mess onto the next person..

No one is in it for the long term goal..

OK well I was expressing my disappointment at the world for watching the genocide unfold. I think we all know that the USA is complicit here. Both sides of politics have blood on their hands. Of you want to keep playing the Biden game then go right ahead. It's pretty transparent why.

I know our (Labor) government are trying their very best to be diplomatic here. Object to the genocide, be friends with Israel and say "yes sir" to the USA. However when your neighbour continually beats his dog, there must be a time, when you slap his hand and say - enough!
Biden has written a cheque to Israel and supported them publicly at every turn.

No one can blame Trump or the Republicans for Bidens own position.

That’s irrational and I think, respectfully, somewhat extremist.

I personally don't even think 4 mill.is that much for a house considering he is the prime minister
. I mean 50% of homes in Sydney would be worth over 2 mill

We are all f**ked if she does. Fingers crossed Trump gets in
She’s deepest state.

She has some good domestic policies, some bad ones too but US foreign affairs isn’t where it should be.

Australia should set its own course and be friendly to both camps while we are deputy sheriff in the pacific.

As US ambassador you’d think Rudd would have his thumb on the realpolitik pulse of the US and report accordingly.

Even if trump is elected, the us is a very difficult country to govern and he can only do so much.

Ideally, I think Australia should be condemning every group or nation intent on killing innocent people.

But we are relatively insignificant in the world power rankings. Let’s not flatter ourselves too much. In some ways, I think that’s a good thing.

Israel has the right to "defend" itself.

And all because successive generations of Israeli governments didn't want to abide by the agreed 1949 armistice boundaries that established Israel as a nation...

It seems like that wasn't - and will never be - enough for any Israeli government. Sad and tragic state of affairs really.

Sydney Median house price is $1.65m - so it would be slightly less than 50% that are over $2m

Theyve alienated a lot of people with their response.

I think most people can understand their objective but definitely not their means.

What does that even mean ? Fear mongering used to rally support among the pea brain MAGAs.

A waste of energy using that rhetoric here. Nobody buys that garbage.
Gronky you were trying to tie Trump to Bidens and the democrats support of Israel’s disproportionate response.

That’s just fake news.

He wasn’t signing off on military aid.

You need to come to grips with it, whether it suits your ideology or not.

Facts don’t care for your feelings.

Hillary made the mistake of belittling and denigrating trump supporters, they deserve as much respect as anyone else.

Well you just provided an answer to an entirely different question.

Let's circle back. You pulled a Deep State on me.

I’m thinking their objective isn’t actually defending themselves, rather ridding the area of Palestinians so they can land grab and colonise it.

I haven’t cracked a cold one followed by a whisky about a Politician croaking it since Thatcher… but that’ll change when Netanyahu is cactus I reckon.

Are you trying to say that Israel has only made incursions across the border into Gaza and West Bank (Palestine) territories under Biden's watch? And not under Trump's in the previous four years... with implicit US support only from Biden and not Trump?

I don't think the facts are your friend here.

It doesn’t matter which US, UK or Oz govt is in power. They will throw their support in for Israel no matter what atrocities they’re committing. It’s sad to see tbh.

A fella I know volunteered in a refugee centre in the West Bank. A month or so ago a squad of soldiers booted the door in and took over the place with the sole purpose of removing a Palestinian flag that was flying from the roof of the building.

There’s an old saying… oppression breeds resistance.

Just getting on to “democracy” virtually every country in the world rabbits on about how democratic they are.

In this country, everyone in an electorate could hate a certain measure, but because the rep is a member of party who might support it, the electorate are f**ked.

So not very democratic.

Or someone like me, I might like some policies of each contesting party, but I have to choose one as first preference, even if I hate their other policies.

So I want to save crocs from Queenslanders, which the greens might agree to, but I don’t want to live in a cave and wear recycled undies which could be their other policy.

The solution is to allow us to vote on issues. We could even register and do that on-line.

We could vote for croc rights, live in a house or unit and wear fresh undies.

Of course there are problems with this model,I can discuss later if anyone is interested.

Yes, voting along issues is the way to go, but not with computers or online otherwise the steal will be on.

Look what is happening with the early online voting right now for the US elections. People are voting for Trump and it is coming up on the official slip as Kamala, then they go to the official to complain and get it sorted and it takes 3 or 4 revotes to get the machines to register Trump on the slip. If people don't check their receipts, as many don't, then the fix is in.

Paper ballots is known to be the best and most corrupt free way of voting. Anything machine or computer based is open to massive manipulation and fraud.
