I get that young Greta triggers a few people, but what I don't get is the whole she's being used or abused or whatever the f**k people are on about.

This is a young woman who's managed to do some pretty amazing things, like speaking at the UN on a subject she's passionate about.

Yet so much hate for such remarkable achievement.

I do wonder if such a remarkable young person would inspire such derision if they chose a different subject matter, nah skip that, I actually don't.

She's being used in the sense that she is being held up for ridicule, and the people exposing her to this are using her vulnerability to score political points.

The fact that she's young means this is becoming framed as an intergenerational conflict at a time when 'boomers' are living forever while young people are becoming more relatively scarce.

Literally every 2nd tweet is a meme or some nasty remark. How is the sample size ? Based on that it would be reasonable to say that there are a significant number of triggered merkins out there.

By that logic every public figure triggers someone or other. If that's the case then what's the big deal with being triggered? Public figures that deign to tell the rest of us how we should live deserve everything they get. Calling people triggered is just an attempt to shut down any criticism.
