I reckon you and Suitman are Colin in this debate. I'm the one who knows what he's talking about. You guys are the ones wantin' to blame the gubmint no matter what they do.
Why mention me? I haven't even been part of the conversation.

The other one.Which statement?
Just because it's not as good (or expensive) as you'd like doesn't make it a lame duck. And more discerning (i.e. wealthy) consumers can always shell out for an alternative that isn't funded by the taxpayer.Way to miss the point again. It’s wonderful that yours works fine, however there are literally millions of people who have been bumped off their private enterprise adsl2 service and forced to join a government built inferior product being the nbn. I’m not going to bother with your straw man bs about technology half life. The case in point is that the LNP built a lame duck.
I saw you agreed with Gronk's comment. Why mention me? I haven't even been part of the conversation.
It's not a problem. He's provided an example of the sunk cost fallacy. Why is that a problem?

FFS I have no idea why you always need to personalise issues. This has nothing to do with me. My NBN works because I was lucky that I lived in an area that had existing terriestrial foxtel cable which were comondeered by the NBN for the HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial) thingamagig. Plus I am also lucky that because this bandaid setup is fibre to the node, the node isn't too far away from my house. So many merkins are experincing shitness with this dumb idea.Just because it's not as good (or expensive) as you'd like doesn't make it a lame duck. Improving things for 'everybody' always makes it worse for a few. That's true of any top down decision, such as those made by governments. This one is no different. There is no one-size-fits-all decision that would have made everyone happy.FFS I have no idea why you always need to personalise issues. This has nothing to do with me. But you know what ? Fibre to the node shenanigans are first world problems compared to the millions who have absolute shit dribble internet, with a service reliability of far less than their previous ADSL2 system. It is a major f**kup with no solution in sight other than throwing more cash at it.
I hope Dr Karl's PhD is in network engineering if he's going to be making those sorts of public assessments.

Dr Karl is a mincer.
I bet he watches a lot of japanese porn. He needs more bandwidth. That our "basic Communications infrastructure is not fit for purpose".
Does this involve salmon?I bet he watches a lot of japanese porn. He needs more bandwidth.
Do you?Does this involve salmon?
Gibber. I’m a fool for thinking that this could actually be going somewhere.Improving things for 'everybody' always makes it worse for a few. Be honest, you just want to piss and moan about the government you didn't vote for. You've even admitted the solution provided works for you. Whinging on behalf of others is the classic tactic for continuing a grudge against your ideological enemies, when you've got nothing to whine about yourself. Oh noes! A couple of proles would've been better off with DSL! Try soothing yourself with the idea that those people with unreliable NBN are using it to post on Stormfront.
