I hope you don't mean that.
It was my way of passing on a compliment about your knowledge of economic theory. That's all.
We end up with the political masters we deserve because we don't discuss politics and economics enough. For way too long now we've let these self interested shysters hoodwink the population with the most unbelievable bullshit and get away with it.
Really? So why have we gone through so many Prime Ministers? Surely public pressure matters and politicians are ultimately held to account?
Never underestimate the power of a finely tuned bullshit detector.
That is more effective than any lengthy conversation about politics imo. Too often those discussions involve someone convincing the other person that they are wrong rather than listening to see if they have a point.
Its a sound idea though. I'd welcome more sensible conversations about politics.
Haven't you yet wondered why a debt and deficit disaster prevailed not so long ago but it's OK to flip $130 billion on a virus. That's just the latest. There's a litany of mistruths that are rarely questioned.
Most definitely. I've also wondered why we have been hell bent on trying to be in surplus for the last 10-15 years (seemingly to the detriment of everything else).
It is better to participate and discuss. Nobody looks silly for getting to the truth.
Not always. Particularly if it isn't getting you any closer to the truth.
