Yes, yes. Thick skinned and all. There are more important things on the agenda, like the Coffs Harbour by-pass. The well oiled machinations of government at it's finest. Canberra by the sea, yet they are nearing 20 years before work will even be started. Hell of a place.
What are you on about, gibberbags?

If they get the chance, they should make it bigger.
Footbridge over the M1? They may as well move the Big Prawn at Ballina to that servo that's getting built at the Ballina interchange as well. We can have a big everything between Sydney and Brisbane.

There was a lot of time and expense wasted on whether they were going to do tunnels or or open cuttings. The Hexham by-pass seems to be in the same holding pattern as well.

Yes, they were. Both are in the planning and approval stages now though. The whole Syd-Bris rebuild has taken 10 years too long but we are getting there.
This is Australia after all.

Will they move the big dunny from Dunedoo to the Pacific Highway somewhere though.

Note to self - don't get into an economics discussion with crocodile. He will make you look silly.
I hope you don't mean that. We end up with the political masters we deserve because we don't discuss politics and economics enough. For way too long now we've let these self interested shysters hoodwink the population with the most unbelievable bullshit and get away with it. Haven't you yet wondered why a debt and deficit disaster prevailed not so long ago but it's OK to flip $130 billion on a virus. That's just the latest. There's a litany of mistruths that are rarely questioned.

It is better to participate and discuss. Nobody looks silly for getting to the truth.

It was my way of passing on a compliment about your knowledge of economic theory. That's all.

Really? So why have we gone through so many Prime Ministers? Surely public pressure matters and politicians are ultimately held to account?

Never underestimate the power of a finely tuned bullshit detector.

That is more effective than any lengthy conversation about politics imo. Too often those discussions involve someone convincing the other person that they are wrong rather than listening to see if they have a point.

Its a sound idea though. I'd welcome more sensible conversations about politics.

Most definitely. I've also wondered why we have been hell bent on trying to be in surplus for the last 10-15 years (seemingly to the detriment of everything else).

Not always. Particularly if it isn't getting you any closer to the truth.
