Cool, so we agree it's no more reliable.
I disagree. Words are a lot easier to fake than pictures, which are easier to fake than video.
Huh? It was always about partisanship. But the lens via which it was being presented was about freedom of speech.
That's because social media corporations have more power than governments when it comes to shaping political opinions. Now that we consume the free speech of others mostly through social media it stands to reason that these companies should be prevented from limiting the free speech of others.
Obviously Twitter understands this and so are attempting to work around it. The result is clearly partisan.
Interesting how this is all apparently brought to the fore by a certain POTUS having a hissy fit about censorship that didn't happen.
There has been plenty of censorship. Twitter is very sensitive to right wing troublemakers and race baiting in a way that they aren't with the same behaviour on the left. No different to the referee only policing one side.
Now the Twitter is being all mean to the right. Seems there's bit of MeToo going on here.
If both sides were being treated equally you might have a point. But either way, you can't complain when your opponent adopts your tactics. Victimhood has been shown to be unifying and empowering. It's the new normal.
