Australians would just be happy with an actual Climate Policy, rather than a government that is purposely vague.
but where would politicians, especially Scomo, be without rhetoric ?

Out of a job, I suspect.but where would politicians, especially Scomo, be without rhetoric ?
Climate change is an issue requiring global cooperation.
In kilowhats?What?
What?I'd love to be around when the global cooling alarmists are demonstrating in Cairns on their lime ice-powered ski doos.
I don't think Australia needs to take the lead. Just set a clear policy and agenda.Australians think that national governments can force 'the big end of town' to do stuff without them deciding to just relocate somewhere more favourable.
Climate change is an issue requiring global cooperation. Anyone trying to take the lead is at risk of making themselves less competitive for absolutely zero payoff. The Grand Science Wizard of Australia gains nothing from pointing that sort of thing out. Likewise, politicians have nothing to gain and everything to lose from it.
Not that. Gronk's picture.In kilowhats?

Nothing changes, just different players.I don't think Australia needs to take the lead. Just set a clear policy and agenda.
Its what 'the big end of town' wants. Not having a clear policy and agenda is what will ultimately drive them elsewhere because they'll get tired of being subject to knee-jerk reactions that are unpredictable and impossible to plan for.
No different to the activists who will continue to make f**k all sacrifices until the government makes everyone else do it too.The attraction of this statement is the all or nothing thinking of the protagonists. Conveniently stating that unless countries X Y & Z take part in the meaningful action on climate change, then we might as well not bother. Meanwhile the Grand Science Wizards of the world are like ..

I accidentally glued myself to the footpath today. Bitumen can be hard to deal with at certain times of the year. Would any of you consider me to be an activist? No different to the activists who will continue to make f**k all sacrifices until the government makes everyone else do it too.
