Stand by for the "Have a sook merkin" meme @hindy111

I'm not religious personally but my parents and a few friends are. Along with a lot of other family members. And I know a few members on here also are. I don't feel having wise cracks towards religion is on. It is a personal choice. Giving people hope can only be a good thing.

Don't ever browse social media if this offends you

It doesn't really. But even tho I haven't met people on here I feel like we are a small little community. So respect needs to be shown on certain topics. I've seen a few posts on here where someone says something derogatory towards someone's wife/ family. That's also off.

Have you watched 'The Life Of Brian', and if so, did you find it offensive?

There are a few members on here who are religious. Don't you feel a bit LOW always mocking it? Out of respect for those who are believers of a higher power you need to pull your head in.

For all the bad you may feel religion causes it also does a lot of good mate. Think about people who have had very tough lives as kids growing up, people who come from 3rd world countries, countries at war, dealing with terminal illnesses, mental illness or depression. The list goes on. Having a strong belief leaves them with some hope and a soft feeling. So while these anti- religion lefties that think its fine to have cheekie little smart arse comments living in there white bred perfect worlds you need to consider the bigger picture........

In other words probably best not to make wise cracks towards people who have a belief in some type of GOD. It really is poor taste in your behalf mate. And we all know your an open minded considerate man.
You're better then this.
There are some very fine people who are from religions of all flavours. I see them and respect them.

This man deserves no defence and I think you’ve picked the wrong time to be Mr Nice Guy and defend the indefensible on this forum. Pick your fights better. You’re better than this.

Les Tyack says he saw a naked George Pell expose himself to three young boys in the Torquay surf club changerooms in the late 1980s.
The businessman said he told his wife and some friends about the incident 15 years ago and gave a statement to Victoria Police five years ago.
But he went public this week in a bid to encourage others to come forward.

"I thought there may be other situations that people have witnessed and have thought about it but never done anything about it," Mr Tyack told AAP on Thursday.
"I've got nothing against the church, nothing against anyone."
Mr Tyack said he regretted not talking to the boys or telling people at the surf club straight away about Cardinal Pell, who was then a senior priest in Melbourne.
"I'm thinking ... I've got no other witnesses ... who's going to believe me?" he said.

"I regretted that for a long, long time."
Mr Tyack said in a summer in the late 1980s he saw Cardinal Pell naked in the change room, facing three boys aged 8 to 10.
"I immediately thought that's odd, an adult doesn't do that in front of three young boys," Mr Tyack told AAP.
After a shower, Mr Tyack came out to find Cardinal Pell still naked in front of the boys, who left when Mr Tyack asked them to.
"I said to Pell, 'George I know what you're up to, piss off, don't come back into this club, if I see you back in here again I'll call the police'," Mr Tyack said.
According to Mr Tyack, Cardinal Pell didn't react and continued to get dressed.

It's funny how you believe this stuff but not other stuff for which there's much more evidence. Just weird.
