We have a housing shortage. We have rising rent crisis. They are adding fuel to the fire by bringing in 450k new people. Build the hosues/units first then bring them in.

Agreed but that's a lack of funding from tory governments, cuts to capital gains tax from howard before you even get to immigration, which usually increases under liberal governments. Blaming immigrants is the easy way out, as I said there are much bigger more fundamental issues at hand rather than immigration.

Hopefully the housing fund that has been set up under this government will be properly funded going forward regardless of who is in power and the greens don't get in the way like they already have.

Because its all a scam.by the governments to make themselves richer, & disadvantage the general population into paying exorbitant land prices and rent, in order make it impossible for future generations to own a home and have them work until they drop.
Australia isn't Hong Kong, or Japan where land is becoming increasingly scarce. We have a very small population and vast land space.
The governments don't want to solve these issues as it doesn't support their vested interests.

With builders going bust left right and centre I'd say to come and build some high risers that will crack in 10yrs and leak.
This is another disgrace. I know friends personaly who have bought a new unit and a lifetime debt that has major construction flaws. They basically bought a lemon and are now payinoff something they will struggle to sell.
