MGGA - Let's make Gronk Great Again

He seems a bit sad and angry with Trump returning and Dutton on his way. What can we do to cheer him up? Any ideas?

We have done this to death Cumwagon, the choices made during this Government period regarding immigration and a shortfall of housing is theirs alone. That isn't to say it has been great like in Boomer-times priors to this governments decisions, just that it is infinitely worse now. There are no excuses they are in State and Federal. You already lost this one kiddo. IDGAF about Scomo's legacy, so stfu and sit child. It is on record as the worst ever in Australian history, you have seen all the sources.

"The quickest, easiest, least expensive, and optimal solution to Australia’s housing shortage is to lower net overseas migration to a level that is well below the nation’s capacity to build homes and infrastructure.'

But it's too late. The voters will speak. Both you and your Albo have taken too long to grasp this.

You can't answer Furry cum for brains: Why has he (allegedly) committed now to halving immigration?
It'sBS, he won't and he will be gone.

Yep, and you still can't comprehend the simple proposition that housing affordability is the real issue, and it's been mostly successive Liberal governments who have created that problem with policies that have been literally geared towards propping up and increasing house prices.

Great for folks who own assets, no so great for those that don't, because when you increase the cost of housing relative to earnings, less people can afford it.

Time for a Twitter source guys!!!

Woooohoooo!

It's not easy under Albanese's cost of living crisis,' the caption read.

'Today I bought some basics: salt, rinse aid, dishwasher detergent, toilet cleaner, milk, carrots, raspberries, chicken, rump steak, stewing beef, lamb shanks, pork, and three potatoes. What do you think it cost?'

'Food is up about 25 per cent Albanese came to power, electricity is about 30 per cent, gas is incalculable, insurance is up,' they wrote.

Priorities?

"Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's cash splash on an NRL team in Papua New Guinea has sparked internal dissent - with one Labor MP questioning why the government is prioritising the taxpayer-funded overseas spend during a cost of living crisis."

"
While the PNG PM says that Australian players and their families who might be based in Port Moresby shouldn't worry about safety concerns, the latest travel advice suggests otherwise.

The Australian government's Smart Traveller website advises exercising 'a high degree of caution in Papua New Guinea'. It points to civil disorder which can 'escalate quickly'.

The travel warning points to 'the risk of violent crime and sexual assault', noting that 'criminals often use 'bush knives' (machetes) and guns (including homemade ones). Always be alert to your surroundings. Avoid going out after dark.'

Sounds great guys!!

Should Australia be spending $600m of taxpayer cash on a PNG footy side?

  • No - too many Aussies are struggling at home 94% 1026 votes
Yes almost as high as Labor's primary vote polling (25%)(Previously Sourced)

You're point is what ? That Brisbane should build a $3 billion stadium or that he is putting budget over design ?

Is he being sensible or ruining it from your POV ?

Most cities go broke hosting the Olympics. Montreal famously only paid off their 1976 Olympic debt in 2010.

The abandoned Olympic infrastructure in Athens is endless.

They shouldn't have bid for it then. It's not like it wasnt common knowledge.

It was all about the show pony running the asylum up there for her own selfish ego and get herself or partner a job post politics which was backed up and supported by her child assistant Miles the last remaining muppet from the covid era.

I recall while we were all in lockdown and families were prevented from seeing relatives across the border who were dying the QLD Labor government were quite happy to fly over to Tokyo and big note themselves they have got the Olympics to get some petty political points.

Why wasn't all this shit sorted before they even put a bid in or at least a fair and reasonable plan put in place with stadia.

3 years on since Brisbane were annouced the whole Olympics prep for 2032 seems a complete shambles.

You can't tell me Sydney 2000 was this much of a complete shitshow 3 years after they were awarded the Olympics.

You brought it up again. I'm just happy to oblige you with a bit of good old fashioned edumacation.

Now do Electricity:
It's Scomo's fault for Albo lying?
Albo said he was going to reduce COL for normal people and not prop up immigration for big business and growth :(

No, it's not. It most certainly is the previous government's fault for having and failing to implement 22 separate energy policies ( 23 if you count doing nothing which is what they inevitably did )

We can also hold the previous government responsible for hiding the 20% odd rise post the election as they literally regulated to do so.

But as for the promise itself, that's on Albo, it was a dumb promise to make, not quite as dumb as claiming having actually created a budget surplus when it was nothing but a projection ( we all know how that ended ) Still, it was most certainly dumb.

However, it's not a broken promise yet, it will be, but your own source tells you the outcome is promised for 2025, and of course that's still a number of months away.

You really are a dumb merkin. I mean really f**king dumb, not everyday dumb, but village idiot poke a stick at him and he makes funny noises kinda dumb

The current government inherited an annualised inflation rate of 6.1% in the June Qtr of 2022 from the previous government and rising.

The Qtr 1 2024 the inflation rate is 3.6% The inflation rate has now fallen for the last 5 consecutive qtrs, so falling.

Do I need to explain to you the difference between rising and falling?

Bandwagon a partisan hack, literally not a single leftwing comment agrees with you on SMH articles of the last two years on the subject. A lone wolf furry with an agenda. I can literally grab you 20 articles supporting my view where no one agrees with you on the SMH and I have in both the article itself and the comments. Give up dumb ass boomer NIMBY got-mine, you are just ad hominens and strawman and are not at all concerned about Australia or the future. Not even the Australian reddit would agree with you anymore.

What he is doing is politically sensible. All of the polling suggests people in QLD are more interested in cost of living than the Olympics.

What's wrong Cumwagon? Sort comments by "Most Respected". You aren't smart or even useful to be honest. You are a very tiny minority with an agenda even with your own kind.

You are the correct one and everyone else is wrong on your side of politics? But I am partisan?

Stick to Nihlism and gooning to furry porn

You are the only leftie stuck in 2020: "But muh Scomo!". How about he does what they suggest cum for brains? Oh wait, even Albo says he will (but it's too late)!

The bid only occured with the backing and encouragement of the Federal Government in 2019. So I think you are getting it upside down.

The stadia design is to save cash and to fit into their values.

Brisbane 2032 aims to set a new standard for how the Olympic Games can be organized, focusing on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and community engagement. Here are some ways the Brisbane Olympics could influence future Games:

1. Sustainability: Brisbane plans to use existing venues and infrastructure wherever possible, reducing the need for new construction and minimizing environmental impact. This approach aligns with the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Agenda 2020+5, which emphasizes sustainability and legacy.
2. Cost Management: By leveraging existing facilities and focusing on financial prudence, Brisbane aims to avoid the significant cost overruns that have plagued some past Olympic Games. This could set a precedent for more financially sustainable Olympics in the future.
3. Community Engagement: Brisbane is prioritizing community involvement and ensuring that the Games leave a positive legacy for the local population. This includes investments in public transport and urban development that will benefit residents long after the Games are over.
4. Decentralized Events: Brisbane’s plan includes hosting events across Queensland, spreading the economic and social benefits beyond the host city itself. This model could encourage future host cities to involve broader regions in their planning.
5. Technology and Innovation: Emphasizing technological advancements and innovative solutions to enhance the experience for athletes, spectators, and viewers could become a model for future Games, particularly in terms of broadcasting and fan engagement.

If successful, Brisbane 2032 could demonstrate a viable model for hosting the Olympics that balances ambition with practicality, potentially reshaping how future Games are planned and executed.
