I agree with this, but am not sure how there will be a quick fix with housing supply.

There is so much regulation and planning bullshit that developers need to navigate. It’s been put in place to satisfy the NIMBY’s of the world, a vocal minority that continues to have too much influence.

I am not justifying anything. I'd half immigration untill we get more houses built. It's unfair to people here and also unfair to them.
I actualy work with a few immigrants Most seem a bit depressed and complain how hard they have to work, how shit they get treated and how half their pay goes to rent. Some will finish work and drive an Uber for 2hrs just to survive.
It isn't what they thought they signed up for.

If governments wanted housing prices to level out or decrease they would do so easily with changes to negative gearing, or a reduction in immigration.
