Palestinians have been treated at Israel’s hostages for decades….
You guys and your shit analogies. Israel is happy to have nothing to do with the Palestinians. You could argue they’ve stolen their land, but they are hardly hostages. Israel would be happy for them all to move to other countries. On the other hand, Hamas has captured Israelis, removed them from Israel, and tried to use them to bargain with the Israeli government. That’s what makes them hostages.

Ffs he got in in 2016...

Also democracy is dead? Isn't that what just got Trump elected?

I heard on the radio today that some states also held a referendum on abortion right the same time as the election..

Haven't done much research yet but radio host said there were states that voted for trump and also voted for abortion rights..

Israel has had complete control over whether Palenstine has aid/water/electricity etc for years. That is being held hostage. Comply or we remove basic human services. Definition of captivity. Why should Palestinians, who as you say had their land stolen, need to leave? It's their land!

All sides are terrorists..
Israel isn't waging war on the terrorists, its waging war on an entire population/race. Its indiscriminate and non-apologetic about it. It's trying to wipe an entire race off the planet for what? Hamas are terrorists, but look at the way Israel treated generations of Palestinians and tell me eventually people wouldnt take a stand. Their actions were reprehensible, but you prod and poke people for decades and eventually they are going to bite back

So all sides are terrorists.

Also must have poked the leader of Hamas hard while he was living it up in another country..

Benji is also living the hard life while the citizens take all the risk.

I don’t see the point you’re trying to make. The Gazans shouldn’t have to leave, I’m just pointing out they aren’t hostages because they are free to leave.

From an Eels Point of view, great. His deputy Ben Fordham has risen to be the biggest fear monger and LNP lackey of them all. He actually makes Raaay look like a decent guy.

No he doesn't.
Fordham is a cream puff compared to Ray.

Ray has made a very responsible decision tbh. He's 70 and wants to spend more time with his family and grandkids.
Good on him and half his luck to be able to do this.
He's financially very well off and 70 is a great age for retirement.
He could have gone on for another decade piercing our ears with his right-wing tirades, yet, he has made the decision to call it quits early, rather than wait till he is 120 years old like John Laws.
I'm glad he is going tbh and I certainly won't miss him. It will be interesting to see who he is replaced with. Tough shoes to fill.

On another note, it has been a breath of fresh air on the ABC to see and hear former Chaser members taking over on-air roles.
It is such pleasurable listening. Both early morning and late at night when I get to listen.

Wouldn't surprise me if Ben Fordham slides into the 9am shift.

And Chris O"Keefe potentially moves into Fordham slot.

I find it a real poor reflection of society in Sydney that Raaay has had enough of an audience over the years to make it this far. A proper germ of a man.
He once told a mate of mine who is in a wheelchair to MOOOVE as he was negotiating the carpark at Glenorie shops because he held Raaay up for a few seconds.

Source: My mate who is wheelchair bound.
