Yeah, nothing that says you can't other than that it'd be a shitfight.

It's actually quite surprising how much our parliament is ruled by convention rather than rule of law, this is why the whole Scotty the minister for whatever the f**k he wants but it's a secret was far worse than made out, because he didn't break the law, he just completely ignored convention, which serves in stead of the law.

Maybe @strider can explain this (preferably without a lol).

BTW lady tries not to F-bomb, but she does after about 5 into 9 minutes.

I have done my Masters in IT Security, my focus was WiFi and Cryptography.
Part of my masters was to discuss online voting and how it should operate.

Most of the issues with online or paperless voting that I discussed in my writings on Election system and IT is around the fact there is no paper trail.

With our voting system you get your name marked off, you have a ballot given to you and you vote. You then place the ballot into the Ballot box.

With this system, there is a simple audit trail that needs to be followed, how many papers did we hand out, vs how many votes did we get. For the parties it also allows then to have poll watchers in each booth (voting place not individual booths) help tally the count.

For digital voting system is gets much more difficult because the current systems do not have an audit trail.

It would be like you go into vote, check your name off and are given a code on a peice of paper. When you go into the voting booth itself you enter the code and then press the vote you want to have.

You hit submit and its done.

A better way would be for you to enter your vote and then be shown your vote, A thermal printer then prints your vote and once you confirm that the vote on the screen and the vote on the paper match, you can select Ok. Your printed peice of paper is then dispensed to you and you pop it in the ballot box.

That way you don't have to rely on the numbers in the machines you can always go back and verify the vote.

Lastly what this person is discussing is that Elon's company "Starlink" was given to voting places in certain states to help count the votes.

A conspiricy theorist could say Musk could have direct effects on that system. If it is in plan text maybe he could. But if state election board use the internet to disposit vote totals then I would suggest that they would do that with their own encrypted end to end VPN and that VPN would only be online for less than a minute to upload vote data.

If the sites were blocked from uploading data then yes that would be some form of interfereance. But to be able to go in and change vote data transmitted online for less than 1 minute you would have to be some very high level crypto breaking to make that happen.

The reality of the election was clear. The north west sections of the blue wall fell the Union states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin . It's the same electoral map to 2016. Get the f**king hint dems.

For our west wing fans out that, any dem is going to face "The Mommy Problem" and she did. There is no way a non college educated white man will stand for a Woman being commander in cheif of the largest millitary in the world. Especially one that hasn't served.

They needed the unions help and had it but instead the focused on Superstars and Girl power.

Tim Waltz should be their next candidate, Union man, Service man, and a plain talker. Put Mayor Pete on the ticket to balance out the required "Minority" factor and you would have two excellently spoken people who are what people will come out for

Boring merkin and too much of a smug fart sniffer. They need someone with a proper personality, not some wooden blingwad.

After four years of Trump MkII, boring might seem pretty attractive to a bunch of folk.

It's not like Biden campaigning from his basement was some kind of excitement machine back in 2020.

Just to prove my sincerity in the matter.

When we have party line stuff, it’s difficult to ascertain the private thoughts of politicians and my guess is penny shares my dim view on the atrocity of Hamas and the Israeli response.

And I think the bulk of the Australian people are with her.

I would encourage other centrist-minded people to write a letter of support to her after this vicious and disgraceful Greens attack.

His resume is ok for a 44 year old.
Yeah but OK to be Secretary of Defence ? This was 2020, not 1993 as a silly teenager.

In 2020, Hegseth volunteered as one of the up-to-25,000 National Guard troops authorized by the Pentagon to be put on active duty to protect the inauguration of President Joe Biden on January 20, 2021, but was removed from that mission because he was one of twelve soldiers "linked to 'right-wing militia groups,' or found to have 'posted extremist views online.'
