FYI, SBS have been doing this during NAIDOC week or on special event weeks since 2020.

More division.

The channel that televises news programs from 1000 different countries, is widely known for SBS World Movies, has a subsidiary dedicated to indigenous people, is daring to go woke by referring to places under a different cultural name?
Does Ben Fordham even know what SBS is?

Because it is stated without context.

That's not journalism.

Seems like everyone in the media is out to get poor old Albo not just Murdoch Media.
It's eerie how Albo's prime ministership seems to be taking the same path as KRudd's first outing as PM in my eyes... Both toppled long standing LNP governments and rode a wave of popularity initially based on championing some trendy causes but the longer their tenure ran, the less substance there seems to have been under the surface.... Hell, Albo is even butting heads with one of his senior female colleagues like KRudd did with Gillard.... I'm certain if the ALP hadn't changed the party rules, Plibersek would be lining up a challenge for the top job right now ahead of the next election...

seems like he gets as much criticism from the left for not being progressive enough as he does from the right for being a Labor politician

The problem with our electorate as a nation is that it is primarily based on "What have you done for me lately?"

In my humble opinion the entire reason the voice vote failed is that it did nothing for 95% of the voting public, and those who look for the "What's in it for me" question when voting saw nothing for them and said no.

“No matter what Albo did the right thing”
Nobody said that, mashed potato head. But if you're going to talk about the MYEFO projections about a budget deficit and national debt and frame it as ooga booga disastrous, it would be helpful if they would apply context.

For example
  • 2019–20: $85.3 billion deficit
  • 2020–21: $134.2 billion deficit
Also the forecasted deficit of $26.9 billion for the 2024–25 financial year is ACTUALLY an improvement of $1.3 billion compared to the previous budget forecast. Yet the media are arm flapping like it's shocking, unexpected news.

As for the debt, well it is addictive and hard to turn around. Can you see 2013? That's when Abbott got the keys from Gillard/Rudd. Can you see 2022? That's when Albo moved out of Petersham.
