Whenever a politician cites a “lived experience” it’s usually going to be shonky.
Thus the appeal from the transport minister about being a busy mum and all of that. Trying to create a connection with and elicit sympathy from a class of people.
And that was used to partially explain her pressing need and the ethical justication to get a driver for 13 hours to pick up her friends for a slap up meal and 3 hours on the booze.
I think it was insulting to lot of hard working mums, checking out the bowser prices, waiting for food to go on special at coles to chuck into the freezer.
