I've been listening to 2GB a bit this week just for the lol's.
Most (not all) of their presenters have been going hard against Albo. Levy and Fordham being the most vocal and try hards. McClaren just a step down from them and Maynard has been neutral and pretty good.
It's been amusing hearing how salty the first two have been. Particularly the loud-mouthed Levy.
I honestly hope this election will be a smashing for the Coalition.
In saying that, I still think Albanese is far from the leader this country needs. He is hopeless.

I agree with you. Overall, the country is f**ked politically as far as I'm concerned. There's way too much emphasis on getting us nowhere as a country. The so called leaders are piss-weak on both sides of the fence. I personally feel that they don't have Australia's best interests at heart........it's all about false promises and $$$ for those who are in the loop. Throw in the fact that random senators can get away with anything these days and it all points towards the downward spiral of where we're heading.

At least I don't have to get bombarded by ol' mate Clive's texts for much longer.

The Libs released their “Costings” and even they show that Australia would be worse off under them for the first two years of tenure.

Honestly it’s your own costing, we all know they are fiction so why not say you would wipe off the national debt?

I am Fairly sure Dutton will lose his own seat..
Wow, I didn't realise he was at risk of his own electorate turning on him that badly...?
Out at the riff the had former PM Abbot on the campaign trial not a good idea... Will probably lose votes
That Penrith LNP MP has paid ads on screens all through Westfields, a paid truck with her image driving round and round Penrith all day, paid local paper ads... you name it. Spending up big, but I think she'll just be safe.

Coalition's 'vape tax' revealed

Within the Opposition’s policy costings documents released on Thursday is a surprising item the Coalition says could recoup $621 million in the next financial year.
“Regulation and taxation of vaping products.”

Australia’s nicotine vape black market has exploded in recent years, starting around the time of the Covid pandemic in 2020, lining the pockets of illegal importers and organised crime.
The government has baulked at regulating the outlawed products, which are widely available, apart from those obtained through a prescription at pharmacies.
Now the Coalition has been accused of “waving the white flag” on vapes after it included the new tax in its costings – which the Opposition says could raise $3.5 billion over four years.
Opposition treasury spokesman Angus Taylor was asked whether his party was giving in to the vaping industry in order to “balance the books”, but said “it’s the exact opposite”.

“I’ll tell you who has … failed on vapes, the Labor government,” he said.
“It has been a complete and utter failure, and what we are saying … (is) that we would go with a regulated model, and we would get the criminal gangs out of this industry.”
Mr Taylor said the Opposition had allocated $350 million “to get organised crime out of this sector, for the government to take control of it and make sure it is a sector that is doing the right thing, is regulated and will be taxed, and those taxes are included in these numbers”.
He told the ABC the tax would be $1 per millilitre of vaping liquid. Some of the most popular vape brands sold in Australia are reported to contain around 12 millilitres of liquid.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers hit back soon after, telling media the government was committed to cracking down on groups avoiding tobacco taxes and importing illegal vapes.
“But we want to get the kids off vapes. The coalition wants to tax kids on vapes. That’s the difference.”
