@Incorrect agreed on pretty much everything you wrote.
I was massive on them in the 90's.

I started following them when they were just starting out, having been a fan of Brad Heaney since his days in DV8.
The Jets actually covered 3 DV8 songs on 3 different albums - Blue Sashes on All For One, Hard Drugs on Tear of Thought and 1-4-1 on DoYa (I've never forgiven them for butchering that, it's one of my all-time faves. Original here). They also had another DV8 song, Crystal Ball, as part of their live set before the All For One was released but that got dropped around that time.

Sadly you'll never see the remaining original members get back together. Brad is just not up to it, unfortunately.
He's had pretty bad mental health problems and is a shadow of his former self.
It's very sad to see.
To this day he's one of the best rock drummers I've ever seen.

And @SadShark I was at the first public performance of Helping Hand way back when.
It was on a Triple M rock cruise and I loved it straight away. Recognized it to be a hit in the making back then, then spent the next couple of years trying to figure out why it wasn't in the live set, or released to radio. Weird...

Agree on Brad Heaney's drumming - light years ahead of pretty much any other Australian rock drummer I've seen since.... you've no doubt seen the clip below given you're a fan but for the uninitiated, check it out. Very good....

Ask Matt Dillon about Shane and the band. thought how bad could be going for a beer /drink with the band when a young fella whilst filming the video for the Xmas classic ‘Fairytale of New York’ - pretty sure it changed his life in one way or another.
I read somewhere that he was earning around 350,000 pound a year from that song - which was assisting with his medical and will set his family and band up for good.
I’m not a fan of Xmas music, but if it doesn’t hit No 1 in the UK this year - a feat it has got close to but not made it - then I’ll tip in the St George will win the comp in 2024
Thanks for the memories Shane and co
