OT- Flanno returning

Mr preference is definitely for Morris to have fixed up some issues and become a long term successful NRL coach at the Sharks, and I think he can do that, this year is crucial though in terms of seeing improvements in those key areas - if it’s more of the same 2020 form (particularly defensively), then he has to go. Only then would I think Flanno is a good option.
If we look at it a different way, if/when Flanno lands at another club, potentially with better resources than us, do you think he could take a team to the top of the mountain again - I’m sure he could, infact, I’m sure Flanno will win another Premiership somewhere.

Morris has done a good job with limited room. It’s hard to judge him until the dead weight contracts Flanno signed are gone.

In saying that if our defence doesn’t improve after last season I’d have no problem moving Bomber on. The middle a was diabolical.

Just saw a picture of Woodsy on social media, looks to have trimmed down as well - good signs.

If Flanno is coach in 2022, I would be confident then Mary will replace Morris mid season, and become Flanno's assistant in 2022.

If Flanno doesn't come.here I actually can see him in Melbourne great mates of Bellamy, and them 2 working together, I could only imagine what they will come up with

I really think Flanno fluked getting Barba, Ennis, Maloney. His recruitment after that was pretty bad.

He does get a plus mark for hooking Chad tho and got the best out of him for 4 months

In tele today Crawley has article in respect to Flanno coming back and potentially this year, and that was involved re McInness.

We have got Mooney back, it just maybe Flanno head coach, Mary assistant.

It's like Flanno has risen from the dead he is coming back like it or not

Flanno was always going to continue coaching as he loves it. Where does he get Mary as his assistant from? It's a known fact that Mary definitely did NOT want an assistant coach and was filthy on SF's appointment. So now he's cool with being SF's assistant.. lol Get the f**k outta here.

The day the Sharks announced the signing of McInnes, the Stains forum went into conspiracy theory overload and claimed this was the cunning plan from Flanno, Mary and the Sharks board. Somehow Morris has nothing to do with the signing and he just floats along in the breeze somewhere around the club???

Crawley's lurking the forums is as obvious as it gets with this one.

The connection that McInnes got along well with Mary therefore the only reason he's coming to the Sharks is because Mary will be here in some capacity has to be the dumbest sh*t I've seen in a while.

I think he got a bit cocky with his signings, now he'd won a comp he could get the best out of any recruit and could do no wrong. He had this desire/need to replace a marquee with another marquee

Lose Maloney get Moylan
Lose Bird get Dugan
Lose Holmes get Johnson

I like Dugan but only 1 of those 3 has really worked out imo - Johnson.

I don't think we should be assuming if Flanno comes back we're a top 4 team again. The games changed alot and sure he's probably a good recruiter but there's no secret Gal had alot to do with that.. just ask him haha. Seems like we're using the influence of Gal, Wade and Lewis to recruit now. Now we have McInnes and with the pack we're forming hopefully recruiting won't be too difficult.

Plus Mooney

Flanno’s timing is a bit unfortunate imo. Last year there was 5 coaches sacked and he could have walked into a couple of those positions quite easily. You would assume that most of these newly appointed guys (Baz...Hook etc) would be safe for at least this year regardless. Most vulnerable would be Arthur and Bomber this year. Would be nice if Dino put the Sharks rumours to bed tbh.

You can look at those 3 example
Moylan has been injured last 2 seasons but the year under Flanno he played ok
Maloney did little at Panthers as well.
Dugan has been better the Bird he has been on the field.
SJ has been better then Holmes who couldn't get into Jets team for a year and struggled at Cowboys.
Flanno had got us to winning a comp, we lost half our spine straight afterwards so we had to remain competitive, we had never one a comp, nor had Flanno other teams is cowboys and rabbits fell quicker after winning, he was trying to ensure we could win another.
Roosters keep relaxing players with superstars so Flanno working on same principle
What he did show is that he could find players who when came to club fitted brilliant is Prior.
I think Flanno got best out of Feki/ Leutele I doubt any other coach could have had them play better.
Of course Flanno has issues but he is a winner, not a coach who one elsewhere and we shipped in we have tried and failed there.

on the news last night, Dino pretty much said he wouldn’t discard anyone and that top 4 is an expectation this year.
