OT- Flanno returning

In tele today Crawley has article in respect to Flanno coming back and potentially this year, and that was involved re McInness.

Not sure how accurate it is but Vlandys I can see reversing a Greenberg decision, he like to leave his mark.

We have got Mooney back, it just maybe Flanno head coach, Mary assistant.

It's like Flanno has risen from the dead he is coming back like it or not

Flanno is a backward move. The addition of macgregor is madness.
Why the f**k would the club or playing group accept coaches like them just so McInnes signed.
Stakey I know you have a hard on for Flanagan but even you can see that this is a shit story and is a shit option for the club going forward

Agree 100% that getting Flanno back would be a BAD, BAD move.

Morris is still trying to clean up the roster mess Flanno left behind.
If Morris ends up getting the bullet this year, then go for Fitzgibbon, or failing that Ciraldo.
Move forwards, not backwards.

The SMH article gives a glimmer of hope that sanity will prevail with Dino :

Flanagan has plenty of support on the board, but the Herald understands chief executive Dino Mezzatesta is opposed to bringing him back to the club he led to premiership glory in 2016.

Don't do it Sharkies... just don't !!!

Flanno and Mooney won us a premiership and for a supporter of the Sharks for 48 years I'd love to have them back together and leading us. So bring it on.

Creepy Crawley is a chronic goons fan and would be no doubt pissed that we have stolen their club captain and best player from under their noses. That on its own can have a destabilising effect on a club. In my opinion he’s trying to return serve on the Sharks on the eve of the season. It is true that Flanno has asked the NRL for an early return from his Nov 1 (head coach) suspension but that is just he can pick up the pieces when a coach gets sacked this year. Dino has stated that we have moved on from Flanno and I’m far more likely to believe him than a disgruntled Stains journalist as he actually has some credibility. Hi Phil....

Laughable.

So the story about flanno taking Arthur's job is also true?
Or one is true?
Or both BS?

They write one thing Monday and the opposite Tuesday.
Crawley needs a story for tomorrow's paper. The editor says what have you got.
He simply puts 2 and 2 together and comes up with 7.

As if anyone at our club spoke to him and gave him this.
Doesn't deserve an arse wiped on it in a loo paper shortage.

SMH article says Greeburg said Flanno expressed remorse.. For who ? himself ? Surely if he's truly remorseful he will kill this rumour so as not to destabilise the club further as well as the people at the club that were left to clean up the mess he left behind. Maybe His cheesy grin and perfect Chompers would suit the Gold Coast lifestyle ? Just sayin . Always grateful and admiring of his role in 2016 , but PLEASE... move on!

f**ken absurd... Flanno has mates in the media and this is just him spinning shit to get a job really. If we bring him I'd deadset be that close to giving up, the last 12 months post-Xerri&Morris have been some of the most positive and stable times we've had since 2016 (some performances notwithstanding). Bringing back Flanno would undo all that good work.

Imo the only club that would sack a coach for Flanno is maybe Manly, but Des is rusted on. Flanno should be patient and wait for 2022, a job will open up but it better not be us ffs...surely that should have been a condition of the ban: "don't go to work for the place you had enough freedom to f**k up twice". Might as well bring back Gorman as CEO!

And to add...as much as the Gorman, Flanno, Mooney trio brought us our first premiership..the resulting salary cap and Flanno's comms shit were really borderline existential threats for the club. We need to constantly demonstrate we're not a basket case for the inevitable moment that the NRL rationalises the competition again.

Frankly I think flannos sins are a bit overblown tbh.

He’s served his time. Wish him well either at another club or back at the sharkies.

The first one was definitely overblown...copped the flack for an inept organisation, and was already being asked to do way more than he should have as a coach. The second ban was fair, he had to have known they'd find out eventually but by skirting the ban he helped assemble a premiership winning squad. Deserves the suspension, won a comp, should be happy enough with that. Still got a coaching role last year so it was hardly a tough run imo..

It's the fact that he seems willing to disrupt our year by throwing his hat in the press ("declined to comment" my nards, that article was essentially written by his manager) is bullshit and he needs to f**k off and wait, keep his nose out and cop the consequences for his actions.
