Convo in another thread with Surely and Mr Angry mentioning Woolooware High

If you went to school in the Shire which Academy Of Excellence did you attend?

Whats this pigfarm business?

Catholic Girls School at Wooloware King\

In fact I made an error in the poll. OLMC and Pigfarm are the same

OLMC should read Mary Immaculate College Sutho - which doesn't exist anymore I don't think. Merged with Pats I believe.

De La Salle then Caringbah High. The brothers at De La were all sadists in those days and loved to dish out the strap. I hated the mongrels and they hated me so I thought it was time to move on.

I actually got into trouble for playing for Cronulla Caringbah and not them.

Likewise, I got in trouble for playing with Taren Point instead of De La. Wouldn't even let you play in the knockouts for them.

My formative years were at that fine establishment called Kirrawee Primary School. No tuck shop there then so every Monday we walked up the hill to the village of Kirrawee and bought a Scotts Pie and a carton of flavoured milk for two bob.

Anyway I went to Gymea High School, when promoted to first grade. It was a bummer really because I lived 7 houses away from the gate. 11 Talara Rd, and went home for lunch everyday. So it made it hard to have one of them unofficial sickies that all my mates often took.

Both schools flogged the sh*t out of me... I reckon I was victimised... they reckon I was a little bastard... the jury is still out.

P.S. Got sent off for the first time in my not so illustrious career playing against Endeavour High.

Cheers

Indeed she is, haven't seen her for a while, she used to go to the footy a fair bit. Does this mean you're an 81er too Dannyboy ?

Earlier than '81 (I'll remain elusive about the actual year). I only did my senior years at WWHS though.

Left before high school, but if I would have stayed down there I would have been a De La boy.
