So Quigs local team is in the GF next week. Never won the comp up there. Couldn't beat the Yepoon boys all year.

I think youse should all throw the EPEs logo into your avatars for the week.

Might be the only win we can latch onto

Two German girl backpackers.
One Bubby.
Emu Park Tower.
I was a legend and they didn't even know what was going on whilst they slept.
Then cometh Market Day,
7am and the ushering out.

Where the hell is Emu Park ? I assume its somewhere out West where the emus roam. Anyways I hope they beat the hoons from Yepoon. It might put Emu Park on the map! Oh and if you book a seat on the bus do you get your money back if you dont see an Emu ? Like the whale watching boats do if you dont see a whale???

Bee-udiful Emu Park with Great Keppel Island in the background and just some of the other islands of Keppel Bay.

Annnnd we don't need to be on the map. Let the touristy commercial town of Yeppoon be the destination for all youse soon to be grey haired old caravan towing, winter hating, southern terrorists.

Of course it will be live streamed it is after all it is the year 2006 in Rockhampton, Queensland.

I will post up a link sometime later.

Thought I might share with you all an aerial photo of the Mighty Emu's home ground. It is named after a famous prick of a thing, it is the Hartley Street Sports Reserve.

I'm off to the big dance, Parky style.

See you Mothers later.

Have fun I know I am because there will be a lot of Souffs supporters up there.

Someone kindly tell the old reprobate that he might be able to watch the game streamed live here

I hope that is the link.

Cronullafied I tell youse !!!

The Emus score right on the bell in the corner to equal the scores with a kick from the sideline to win the game. Kicking into the south easter the ball swerves across the mouth of the posts.
So it is 28 all at fulltime and it is not golden point ( I was told this by the ground official nearing full time) so it goes down to extra time - two five minute spells.

The mighties are first to score when they kick a field goal 3 1/2 minutes into the first extra time then bugger me the bloody Gulls score in the corner in the second with 90 seconds remaining.

FAR CAN CRONULLAFIED..... fulltime final score Us 29 Them 32
\
It was a great game to watch and as they say in the classics...... "Oh well, there is always next year"

Us Old Fart Emu Players got to hand out the jerseys to the boyz in the shed. It was a good feel and a humble thing to do.

I even got to make a little speech.

All us oldies were given a 'Parkies Old Boys' shirt early in the day.

Apart from the final results it was a good day and a bloody big crowd too.
