I assume he’ll exhaust any avenues that he has for appeal. But still. Huge decision. He wont get anywhere near 14 years, but he will do time.

I don’t have enough legal knowledge to know if he’d have any grounds for an appeal. Sentencing hearing has been set. On the main board one of the posts said that the magistrate had indicated that a custodial sentence was assured.Yeah, I should have qualified my post that an appeal is inevitable.
Good call.
And so may some of his inmates be if they take a liking to his cockpit.6 years non parole minimum I think you will find. An appeal is no given , firstly was the verdict unreasonable ( I don’t think so) , secondly were mistakes made in law. To put it mildly IMO he is in deep poo.
A new era dawning here at the Dragons , must he be part of it ?
Sorry mate. I tagged it as "Off Topic".
I never noticed buddy , I can see the parallel with JDB’s case , hopefully he does not deserve to end up in the same boat as the other character .
....and to think the Dragons were in talks with Hayne only a couple of years ago. Talk about dodging a bullet.
Mary and Millward were all for that signing. Mary gone, Millward ....... off you go.....and to think the Dragons were in talks with Hayne only a couple of years ago. Talk about dodging a bullet.
That near signing was all Mary. He was begging the board to let him sign Hayne, he was the missing piece of the puzzle!Mary and Millward were all for that signing. Mary gone, Millward ....... off you go.
This doesn’t bear thinking about. Can you imagine our cap if we were carrying Hayne alongside JDB and our other poor value contracts? That near signing was all Mary. He was begging the board to let him sign Hayne, he was the missing piece of the puzzle!
Timing is everything, thank f**k he got done before he put pen to paper with us.
