Hook wanted him but the legal system wanted him more and got him. Hayne turned 37 in February of this year and I think he might be a tad bit on the older side now to play first grade. I don't think Parramatta would even entertain him going to that club as well and just let him play in the Ron Massey Cup for the Wenty Magpies.

We know that his rape convictions were overturned Draginzaar but that does not override what he wanted to do after drinks on grand final night in 2018 with friends when he was texted by a woman living in Newcastle. His mind wasn't on NRL at that time and if it was, who knows he might have signed to play under Hook at the Dragons in 2019.
