Sandgate District State High School student Jayden Hunt must be an outstanding rugby league player given he has broken into the Wavell SHS dominated Met North under-18 rugby league side.
Certainly both the Sharks and the Melbourne Storm think highly of the fleet-of-foot centre, as do the Met North selectors.

During the recent Easter holidays Hunt attend a Melbourne Storm training camp on the Sunshine Coast, while in the June-July holiday period he has been invited by the Cronulla Sharks to play an SG Ball match.
The Norris Road State School past student said he was excited but nervous to be offered a trial by Cronulla.
“It will be a good challenge,’’ Hunt said.
Hunt, 17, is the odd man out in the 19-man Met North squad heading to the Queensland schoolboy championships in Roma, (May 22-26), with all other members of the touring party from the Wavell schoolboy league stronghold.
“I have played with a lot with them, played some rep with a few of them and against them,’’ Hunt said.

“I am pretty welcome and familiar with the staff at Wavell.’’
Hunt is playing his first full season at centre after moving from second rower to defend and attack one position wider of the ruck.

“I had usually played in the forwards but I trimmed down a lot and was moved out to the centres,’’ said Hunt, who has been an Aspley junior since he was five, but also plays Mal Meninga Cup at the Norths Devils.
“It can get a bit quiet out there and I guess I miss the contact of the forwards,’’ he said.
